DK Eyewitness Top 10 Travel Guide: Provence & the Cote d'Azur by Robin Gauldie (2012-03-01) Paperback

Book was in excellent condition, but I was disappointed in how long it took to get to me.

Usually Top 10 guides are very good that’s why I bought this one. I can’t say it was much use as it covers a rather large territory (Provence and Cote d’Azur) full of must-see places and of course the guide mentions only top 10 and several others. We spent our time mainly in Nice but we also went to Monaco and Canes. I think each of those places deserves a separate Top 10 guide. The couple of maps the guide contained were disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want to stay in one place and make day trips to see nearby towns/villages. It doesn’t contain detailed enough information about any city/town/village.

First time I have tried one of these "top 10" guides and to be honest I was a bit disapponted.In the one hand, I don't feel that this could replace the main guide book while on the other hand it doesn't seem to bring anythig that is not in the main book....All in all, I was not fully convinced by the value of this book despite it's obviously very high quality.

I have a number of these for different parts of the world and have found them invaluable when travelling. Packed full of lovely colourful pictures and informative text. They are a joy to read and great to keep as a handy reference for eating out, shopping and hotels too. A must have when planning your next trip away.

l love TOP 10 series.very helpfull pocket size, packed with all essential information.I wouldnt use Top 10 books as a guide for countries becuase of the size of information included.it is a perfect size for city info.great addition for big travel country guides.

It was quite useful ntill we asked the hotel to book us dinner from the taxi picked us up and when we got there it was closed and had been for 5yrs so not to pleased
