Great for Moonlight
I use this light over my 29 gallon tank in the evening as "moonlight" time for about an hour or two before total lights out for overnight.I got it because my old light (marine orbit) had nice, deep blue moonlight; but my new Kessil light does not go all way to dim, blue light (even with the spectral controller). This small light is perfect for giving the fish and I that last part of "sunset" before total darkness. It's soothing and brings out unique coloration in the tank. I like that it only has blue lights (no white) because I want the deep, dark blue of night. The clip attachment is small, with a slim opening that has to slide onto something flat. I cannot get it to fit over the normal rim on my aquarium. Luckily, it slips onto the glass tank lid at the back. My glass top is the typical model that folds open. It comes with a plastic piece for the back, which I do not use since I need space for filter intake/output tubes. Since the edge of the glass does not stretch all the way to the inside rim of the aquarium, there is space to slide the small plastic clip on this blue lamp onto the glass. Then it tightens down with a simple plastic screw. Seems sturdy enough. The lighting is bright enough put a blue glow throughout the tank.

It's incredibly decent.
I didn't expect much-- actually, let me rephrase that:I'm using it in a 55 gallon tank. This light is made for a 10-15 (or less) gallon tank. And it would light that up superbly. But for my uses, it is too small. But I was also too cheap to buy a bigger light.I've had trouble getting it to work with a timer though. The on/off is a button, not a switch. I'm fairly certain it resets if it looses power. So it will turn off, but not on. Perhaps I'm just incompetent.Great, non-invasive light for viewing my shy catfish at night

cool night light
I love this thing. that being said I was using it every night until my tank had an algal bloom and can't get rid of it since. I don't know if the low power light is amplifying algae growth or not but at the moment Im not using it.

Nice small unit.
I've been running this moonlight on my 90 gallon tank for a couple years now. It's reliable and gives off a decent amount of light for such a small unit. Though for my 90 it's not enough so I am looking into getting more moonlights, preferably something that I can attach to the back of my hood (outside). LEDs have come a long way in the past couple years so there may be cheaper and better units out now.
