America's Coolest Station Wagons (Cartech) by Scotty Gosson (2012) Paperback

I had this book on my wishlist for awhile. It is a perfect way to proclaim my love for station wagons. Really a good book with good stories and photos.

Good book/journal. Has all types of modified wagans (stock, performance, custom, lowrider...), that is what I like most about it, great ideas. Good pictures, some stats on the vehicles are a little "light" but overall, great stuff.

Just what I wanted.

nice photos of station wagons of all kind. most older cars form 50/60/70 in original or custom look. many Pontiacs! I would recommend this book to everyone who likes station wagons.

I expected more of a mix of classic wagons and hot-rodded wagons, but I found that the content leans heavily toward hot-rods. If you like long-roof hot rods, you'll probably enjoy the book more than I did, but I wanted more pictures and info about stock or restored-stock wagons.

This book was really geared more towards the "hot rod" crowd which is fine, but had I known that I probably wouldn't have purchased it. I prefer more "stock" appearing cars. That said the photography in the book is pretty good and the descriptions of the cars are written well enough to keep your interest for the most part. All and all it was a decent weekend read, nothing special but then I find station wagons of all types interesting.

It is so interesting to see what others have done to keep and enjoy their station wagons. The range is from daily drive to extreme modifications and it is comforting to see that there is a plethora of talent still out there.

America's Coolest Station Wagons (Cartech) This was purchased as a Christmas gift so it hasn't been given yet. However, it was a requested book, so it will undoubtedly be enjoyed. The delivery time was great!

Ein geniales Buch für alle die amerikanische Sation Wagons mögen.Angefangen von Oldi Ford Depot Hack von 1914 im unrestaurierten Orginalzustand über viele orginale oder leicht veränderte Sation aus den 50er bis 70 Jahren.aber auch die absoluten Schowcars die aus dem nicht aufgebaut wurden bis zu Dragsterumbauten den man ihre Leistung kaum ansieht und trotzdem jedan Tage gefahren werden.Abgerundet wird das Buch von zwei Exoten, einem Datsun und einem Volvo mit dem mann auch sehr zügig unterwegs sein kann.

Leider sind viele gepimpte Autos behandelt und gezeigt. Ich bin auf der Suche nach den Originalen. Die Hälfte des Buches entspricht meinen Vorstellungen, daher die 3 Sterne.
