I've paid twice as much for bits that weren't half the quality.
First of all, let's talk about the variety. This kit comes with a whopping 60 pieces, which is fantastic because it covers pretty much all the different types of screws and bits I encounter in my projects. Whether it's Phillips, Torx, square, or even hex, this set has got me covered. And the best part is that each piece feels really sturdy and well-made. I've had some bad experiences with cheap, flimsy bits that would snap after just a few uses, but these Makita bits seem like they can take a beating. The impact-resistant design is a total winner. I've used these bits with my impact driver, and they've held up really well. No chipping, no signs of wear and tear even after some heavy-duty use. It's clear that Makita put some serious thought into making these bits durable, and it shows.Another thing I love is the bit holder included in the set. It's got a strong magnetic grip, which is super handy when I'm trying to reach into tight spots or overhead. Plus, it keeps the bits neatly organized, so I don't have to go rummaging through my toolbox every time I need a specific size.I also want to mention the precision fit of the bits. When I attach them to my screws, they fit snugly without any wobbling. This means fewer stripped screws and less frustration for me. Plus, the tips seem to have excellent grip, which really helps when I'm working with tougher materials like metal or hardwood. One small downside I noticed is that the case could be a bit sturdier. Don't get me wrong; it's functional and keeps the bits in place, but I feel like it might not withstand rough handling or accidental drops. So, I'll probably be a bit more cautious with that.Overall, I can confidently say that the Makita E-01644 Impact XPS 60 Piece Impact Bit Set has been a fantastic addition to my toolkit. As an average IQ person, I appreciate tools that are reliable, easy to use, and that make my projects go smoothly. This set ticks all the right boxes, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch bit set. Happy DIYing!

Reputation well earned.
Great set of bits. All you need. Should last a long while from what I've seen so far.

I've finally found the best bits - more than worth the cost
I've been through them all, from the supposed top end like Milwaukee, Bosch, and Dewalt, to the stuff that I wouldn't take if they gave it away for free, like Kobalt, Craftsman, and the cheap Chinese stuff. This is by far the most durable and well-fitting set I've ever used. The test for me is the Robertson bits; they're always the first to lose their edges, then they cam out. But these bits have all been held their edges, in over a year of almost daily use. From the Phillips #2 to the hexes, they've all been great. You're probably not going to use every size in this kit (the 60-piece). I use about a dozen of the sizes in this kit, and many of those sizes have multiple bits (counting the inset and power bits, there are 15 Philips 2 bits here, which might be a bit of overkill; I'd gladly swap a few of those out for another Robertson 1, or duplicates of some of the smaller Torx sizes).I get it if you think you're only going to use a couple of the sizes here, and the price might put you off. But I was replacing Milwaukee, Bosch, and Dewalt bits every three to six months, and this set is still going strong after 15 months. I haven't had one broken or rounded bit yet. If one of the bits I commonly use fails tomorrow, most of them have backups in this set (and with the Philips 2, I've got 14 of them!), so I'm still way ahead of the game in terms of cost.

Not too bad
Overall it's a nice kit, the case is sturdy and has plenty of options for the most used bits. I dropped the star rating down a notch because using the flat bladed bit on just 2 screws it already has a slight bend, which seems a bit premature considering I had used a single craftsman brand one to install my entire solar system without breakage or bending even though that one wasn't impact rated and I figured I would get an impact rated set with this Makita brand and already get a bend? Doesn't provide much confidence. However it didn't snap so I guess that's something, a bend is better than a catastrophic failure. At least this set isn't very expensive and there are multiple of the same size bits so I can keep going. The variety of bits is nice including long and short bits and extensions and a magnetic head that holds very well.
