Sentry Pro Wireless Arm/Disarm Key Pad

The alarm is a good kit. Well thought out and easy to install. Sadly the instructions supplied are woeful. The UK supplier does provide some additional set-up installation which helps however the manufacturers product notes are awful. On the plus side the UK supplier has an excellent help line and they do promise me that a re-write in comprehensible English is in the pipe line. If this is forthcoming and better than the Chinese translation rubbish the manufacturer supplies then it would get the fifth star.

This remote key pad does contain a battery but still requires a mains connection so can't be positioned without a trailing wire. Even if you decide to go off-mains and periodically recharge (at least every month), the unit needs detatching from its mount - very fiddly, and not designed to be used that way. If you need a wireless keypad - this isn't a practical solution.

Two features not explained in sales advert are that you have to enter a pass code to activate the alarm and the panel will retain its battery charge for a long period thus no permanent power connection is required.
