Best Pickup/Mic and by far the Best Customer Service!
I bought this for my daughter’s Double Bass. What I didn’t realize is Myers makes a pickup specifically for the Bass. This particular pickup Is better for smaller instruments. I sent Myers an email asking their advice on placement or buying an extension for the mic. Within 10 minutes I received a call from Myers with a solution. We used it this weekend and this Myers pickup/mic performed beautifully. The sound is so rich and full. We’ve tried other pickups but they don’t capture the fullness of th Double Bass the way Myers does. To wrap it up, you can’t beat their sound quality and no one comes close to their customer service.

Great customer service
Very happy with this product. Keep in mind that it is a microphone, not a pickup. But that’s fine, because no pickup exists that can properly amplify a resonator. You have to use a mic of some sort. I use it for a jam session every week with some other guys playing acoustics. It’s a low volume situation, and it works great for that.I decided to buy it the day before my gig. I spoke to the owner on the phone. He was very helpful and got the unit shipped to me the next day! The gooseneck design is perfect for resonator guitars. I’m planning to try it on banjo as well.

It works
The product worked and it sounded ok, but it really just wasn’t for me. I initially thought the battery replacement would be easier, but it seemed like way too much of a hassle. The battery just seemed stuck and trying to get it out seemed like it would break the whole device so I just stopped trying. I liked how the device could be placed anywhere and for the most part the suction cup did pretty good but every once in a while it would get loose and almost off the guitar. I initially got it for recording, but this product would probably do much better for live purposes. It’s not bad in the studio, but again it just wasn’t for me. It’s a great idea though and it definitely does its job. The thing I really disliked was the whole return process. Return shipping label was not official amazon label and UPS store said I needed to pay return shipping. Not exactly the best return experience. Of course I opted for cheapest shipping for return but that means I wait longer for refund. Probably won’t buy again because of this. In summary I think it’s a good product just not for me.

it is because the pickup just sounds that much like the instrument
I have been looking for a way to amplify my Mandolin for a while, and I have searched all over, I did not want something that I had to install internally because it would be difficult or require shop time. The Myers pickup came up in my searches, but there were not a lot of reviews or demos, and the youtube demos were hard to tell what was going on, but now I know why, it is because the pickup just sounds that much like the instrument, so when they would turn up the volume it just would sound a little louder, this is exactly what it did for me in person. I also did not have any feed back issues using it right in front of my PA speaker in my music room. I have not had a chance to try it out at a gig, but I do not anticipate any problems. The suction cup works perfectly as well. The volume knob is a nice addition and will be quite useful. My only potential issue is that it might require an external preamp as the output might be a little low. But I have not tried it in band setting so I may be off base.I all I am very satisfied, not only can I accurately amplify my mandolin, but the suction cup attachment allows me to use it with other instruments, or use it when I upgrade my mandolin. It will also come in handy as a back up for my guitars in case I have problems with their internal pickup. It is very well constructed and I see no issue with quality or durability.Customer service from Myers is top notch, quick shipping, excellent communication, they even included an extra battery in the box.Honestly, it seems like a piece of gear any working musician in an acoustic band should have in their case, for whatever might arise.

This is a really nice pickup!
This is a really nice pickup!! It is so easy to use, has good sound quality, and the cool thing about it is, it's not limited to just one instrument! I recently had to play for a wedding and I was asked to play my cello in the ceremony, and also my ukulele at the reception. I used my Myers pickup on my cello and it picked it up very well, then when I had to switch instruments I easily took it off and put it on my ukulele which sounded great too! I couldn't have made it through that wedding without this pickup and I am very thankful I have it!!

Fantastic pickup!
This is an amazing little pickup! The sound is SO much better than any kind of under-saddle pickup! In fact, it's so good that I am using it to record my baritone ukulele on recordings I am producing for Disney! The suction cup works perfectly and does not mar the finish of your instrument in any way!Great product. Great Seller!

Comprato per usarlo con una chitarra dobro, evidentemente non adatto, volume di uscita troppo basso. Ventosa completamente inutile, sia su legno e metallo non resta attaccata. Reso senza problemi, su questo nulla da obiettare.

Good professional sound quality for any acoustic stringed instrument
I use the pickup on my 12 string guitar, mandolin and bouzouki mainly for recording in my home studio. They are very good true, clear sounds. I use a line 6 G10 wireless system and they work great together. You don't have a lead pulling on the pickup. I personally use velcro to secure the pickup on the pickup rather than the suction pad which is prone to dropping off. My only disappointment is that I wish the pickup had more gain regarding its volume.

Terrific Micro Pickup
This pickup works very well. The sound is spot on. Feedback can be minimised by adjusting the volume on the unit and correct spacing between player and the PA.
