CovidClaw Deluxe – Hand Hygiene Anodized Aluminum Keychain Tool – 22” Expandable Hook Waist Clip WITH Stylus and Writing Pen – Great for not Touching Surfaces

The media could not be loaded.  The claw works for flushing toilets, pulling doors, pushing buttons. It is less convenient to use than your own hand and you need to clean it after use, but sometimes I feel better using it. It is too long for me to wear on a keychain (7" in the contracted state), but it clips to a ring on my purse. It has a retractable wire which gives me enough length to use the claw without unclipping from my purse. The claw is made out of aluminum painted black. The edges are smooth and not sharp. It is not flimsy and not light (1.8 oz).The claw itself cannot be used on the LCD screen of ATM machines, but the included stylus works well for that purpose. I was not able to find a pen, I am guessing something in the stylus unscrews. I did not try too hard to find a pen, because I have several pens in my purse and don't need another one.Ali Julia review

I have been using this COVID Claw while I am out and driving Uber Eats since I am in contact with many doors and surfaces. In order to prevent myself from touching contaminated surfaces I figured one of these would be good to have.Pros: it works! Useful for opening doors, pushing doorbells, and ATM buttons as shown. And having the convenient clip is useful to have it attached to my belt loop rather than putting in my pocket.Cons: First con was that after running around and using it clipped to my belt loop, I didn't realize the stylus fell off at some point during my drives. No idea when it fell off. It is not screwed onto the hidden pen so it just slides off. And the pen was so small I just figure to bring my own pen everywhere.Another Con is you need to be careful with how you open doors with this. Its metal and most door handles are metal so..... you can imagine what that can do.Also when you open doors with this, you have to realize you're putting all the weight of opening that door on 1 finger. So at first it was kind of painful using, and I'm a guy that does workout quite often. So you need to make sure you grip the claw really well with your other fingers if you can.The one kryptonite for these claws are round door knobs haha! But that's just by design, nothing you can do about that.CONCLUSION: It works as needed but some design flaws that perhaps could be addressed would fix it but might not be feasible. So I still give it 4/5 stars.

I received my blue COVID CLAW on Monday, Aug. 10th and used it for the first time on Tuesday, Aug. 11th. It was wonderful to open doors and not worry about having to touch anything. The retractable lanyard is very convenient so it can always be ready. It takes a little practice to decide where to hold your hand to open the doors, but it definitely helps you relax and feel more confident. As soon as I got inside the first door the first time I used it, however, I realized the stylus was missing, leaving only the pen. I would love to have them send me a replacement blue stylus since it popped off the first time I used it, but I cannot find any information on how to contact the seller. Overall, I gave it a high rating because it is very sturdy and does what it was advertised to do. The pen is a bit small, but I was able to use it to sign something instead of using the pen offered at the business. I will have to take it off the keychain now, though, so the pen won't write on my clothes. It can also turn lock handles to unlock doors. I used hand sanitizer to clean it off after I used it. It definitely seems like I will get a lot of use out of it, but please send me a replacement blue stylus!

I bought this early on in the pandemic and it has held up (not that I went out that much). The retractable feature is important for me as I hang it off my purse. The biggest flaw is that the clip is sooo tiny. You would not be able to get it around a belt loop or average purse strap - just a spaghetti strap or key chain. My solution was to attach a larger carbiner to the clip, so now I can easily clip it to anything.

The Covid Claw is so great and allows me to go out without touching things. I read up on the difference between anodized aluminum and brass or copper and the difference is for bacteria or fungus it says on brass or copper it will stay alive for 2-4 hours and on anodized aluminum 3-5 hours so they are basically the same but with Covid which is a virus they are all identical because Covid-19 isn’t alive like bacterial & fungus so it is contagious for about the same amount of time on all metals & plastics. This really works because I am not touching things with my hands and I’m reducing the odds by hundreds if not thousands of times by using this tool. It’s also the only one I saw that includes a stylus & ink pen which has made this tool so much more useful. I clip the retractable keychain to my purse so it is always handy to use!

Listen, I love this thing! I don’t feel crazy when I use it in public either. It took a little getting used to when I returned to work and needed to open door a a bunch but now it’s second nature. The only thing I don’t like it the many different brand logos. I peeled off the two on the circle part. Also the stylus doesn’t work on things that aren’t iPads/phones. The signature things in grocery stores don’t work with it. Also was extra thankful when I had this to help me lock the bathroom door at the drive in a few weeks ago. I’m immunocompromised so I love this thing!

I ordered three different “claws” to see which one I liked the most and this won out by far!!! It’s light, so even though it’s got a lot of items attached even when you add keys, it won’t be overly heavy. The retractable clip helps you from having to hold the claw after using it. The pen and screen touch decide is one thing that no other claws had. The ink well inside the pen is obviously short, so the ink may use up quickly depending on how often you use it, but it can probably be replaced. The company may even look at selling replacements in the future.

It does everything promised in the add and is exactly as pictured. Super helpful in times like these.My only (minor) criticism is that I wish it was a little lighter. As a woman, I encounter the problem of outfits with no pockets, and this item is a little too heavy to comfortably hook off an office lanyard all day.
