Jack Johnson: Live At Third Man Records 6/15/13 LP (Record Store Day)

If your reading this your a Jack fan, so I don't need to Tell you what it's like to listen to his music. If your in to great recordings and a rarity at that, buy this album while you can. Not many opportunities to buy vinyl that was recorded to vinyl during the session. It was 1 shot as it was cut giving it the true to life sound and not doctored up like a regular studio album. Great songs good arrangement. Just like a Jack concert, songs are put on with their own little spin and sound. What's even better it's cut at Jack Whites studio venue that just screams cool. Good pressing decent weighted vinyl although it's not 180 grain. Personally feel it's better than the en concert Jack Johnson album. If you don't have a record player, go buy 1 (thrift store, eBay Amazon, your grandparents house, or local record shop) and buy good albums like this. Sit back and listen to some analog. Enjoy

This review is specific to the record/vinyl version. I don't know if its just my version, but the record came pretty warped but not enough for me to not play it. The record is also really flimsy which i think might be a characteristic of the acetate. It's also really large to the point that I can't close my pro-ject while listening. (I think when pressing they didn't cut off the excess vinyl on the outer portion ) Not a huge deal but I think they should of been more careful when pressing this. The music it self is good and worth the listen.

It's a great album:)! It makes you feel like your at a intemement concert with him :). He makes a few mistakes which don't bother me because it feels so personable.The part of the album that I dislike is the vocals drown out the instruments. Hes a good singer, but it would be nice to be able to hear the harmonica with out turning my stereo so load. That my neighbors can her Jack Johnson sing. Insterments are so lacking that in Good People you mostly just here Jack J. Singing a beating drum, very quiet guitar, and almost silent harmonica.

This is for my son's upcoming birthday and I know he will be pleased. This product was sold out at Third Man Records so I was lucky to find a copy at a fair price. Packaged extremely well. Thumbs up to Jack White and what he has done with his record company.

Classic Jack. Mellow and fun. The fact that he messes up a couple of chords and lyrics (and jokes about it) just makes you feel like you're at the show.

TMR vinyls are on a league of their own. And so is Jack Johnson.This is a great sounding and fun set from Jack.

Really good recordings. The voice shadows the instruments a bit, but it's still a solid record. Just makes us want to see Jack live.

As others have stated, when pressing they didn't cut off the excess vinyl on the outer edge. As such it doesn't fit on my player. I did not return. Maybe one day I will have a record player that this will fit on. Until then, a quality control catastrophe. My review is for the defect quality of the vinyl rendering it unplayable. I'm sure Jack is in top form. Maybe one day :(

Jack at his very best- I love to listen to him live and I think this is only bettered by En Concert!

The media could not be loaded.  Unglaublich, was hier als neu für viel Geld verkauft wird: Höhenschlag, deutlich hörbare und sichtbare Kratzer und dazu noch ein Plattenrand, der nicht zu Ende abgeschnitten ist. Nein, danke,so nicht! Ich hatte ja andere Rezensionen gelesen und wollte es nicht glauben. Also Finger weg von diesem Schund.

Die Pressqualität ist unter aller Sau!!!!Ein Höhenschlag, dass der Tonabnehmer springt von der Platte, so was habe ich von Amazon noch nie geliefert bekommen.Habe die Platte über mehrere Tage zwischen schweren, planen Metallplatten gepresst, jetzt geht es mit dem Abtasten.Musikalisch leider sehr gut, ansonsten wäre die Platte zurück gegangen.

Musicista bravissimo, questo album è un Direct su acetate, cioè viene registrato live direttamente su vinile dalla Third man records, l'etichetta del genio Jack white. Per i fan di Jack Johnson è un must, il disco di per sé raccoglie brani più e meno recenti, suonati in acustico.
