UPDATED 02/14/2015:I am disappointed at the drawers. The fabric-covered piece is nailed onto the drawers. The fabric-covered piece has pulled off from the drawers. I don't use these drawers often (maybe 2-3 times a month), so it is very disappointing to see that this has happened. I will call the manufacturer. I'll update with their response.______________________________________________________ORIGINAL REVIEW:This is my first time ordering a bed online, sight unseen. Overall, I loved it. The bed actually saved me from purchasing a new mattress. Rea on...--- EASY-TO-FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS: The instructions were easy to follow. My kids (age 12 and 14) and I (a woman) put this together all by ourselves. It probably took us about an hour... maybe an hour and 30 minutes. My back was injured, so I did most of the supervising and holding parts while the two kids put it together. The trickiest point was installing the drawer section. I just needed to follow directions better. There was one tight spot that didn't fit perfectly... but I don't know if that was user-error or design. We worked around it and it wasn't critical since there was another screw to stabilize that area.--- GREAT CONCEPT: There are a lot of pieces that make up the "skeleton" of the platform. The concept is ingenious. They call this a "platform" bed, but the structure is not a "platform" as in sheets of plywood---like our old "platform" bed was from a decade ago. Anyhow, the support is made up of strips of wood that act like a skeleton. This skeleton provides even support with a little "give". Note that we used only the mattress, NO box spring.--- SURPRISING COMFORT AND VALUE: I had a really nice mattress but my husband and I noticed that our backs have been sore the last few years. We thought we would need to get a new mattress. However, we recently moved across the country and sold our nice king bed frame... ergo the need to buy this bed. I thought I would get the bed first then get a new mattress. Lo and behold... My back aches amazingly disappeared after the first night on this new bed. My husband still hadn't moved to be with us yet, but he didn't believe me. A month later, he finally slept on the bed. The next morning, he sang praises about the bed. The bed---specifically the "skeleton" design---saved us about $3,000-$7,000.--- STURDY: This bed is so sturdy. No squeaks, etc.--- SOOO STYLISH: The color and design is beautiful. I would say that I wish the fabric next to the nail head is just a fraction more "bumpy" than I would like. I do NOT think anyone else will notice. Keep in mind that this bed frame isn't the most expensive bedframe. It is an affordable bed frame. IMPORTANT NOTE: I have an 18" mattress and it goes up pretty high up the headboard (probably as high as the top of the pillows in the picture). I was surprised because I wanted the same height differential as in the picture. Oh well, the bed ensemble still looks fantastic.WHY NO 5 STAR?So, I didn't give it a 5 star because when it was delivered, a small section of the headboard must have gotten dirty water on it. It was raining. Additionally, one of the drawers was busted during the shipping. However, I called Amazon right away and the customer service was fantastic. The rep gave me a few options and asked me what I would like. I chose the discount for the dirty headboard. I will call the manufacturer for a new drawer.IF I COULD DO THIS AGAIN... I would get the drawers on BOTH sides of the bed. I can't bear the wasted space under the mattress on the other side. The two drawers on each side would be fine. I got the three drawers (on one side) but the top drawer can't be opened if there is a night stand next to the bed. Oh well, I could store all my valuables in that drawer, right?!

One determined woman, two hours, and a rubber mallet. This is all it takes to build this beautiful, well-made bed.Yes, it only has three drawers which open to the right if you are looking at the bed (just like the picture). The drawers are roomy and glide well along their tracks.Putting it together was a mildly challenging but doable project. Even for one person. The drawers come fully constructed, so the main event is putting the bones of the bed together. Organize your parts, read the instructions before you get started and again while you are working, and things should go pretty smoothly.The one thing I would HIGHLY recommend is to use a rubber mallet to lock down the platform slats (the pieces the mattress sits on). The instructions say to use your palm and exert pressure, but there are a lot of these things (like 30-50) and you will prevent a sore hand and have no problem snapping in uncooperative pieces if you just use a rubber mallet. This is the last big thing you have to do in building the bed, so you may be fatigued by this stage of the game. Just do yourself a favor and splurge on a $10 rubber mallet.You got this. ;)

Solid construction, easy to assemble. I assembled it alone in under 2 hours, just watch how you position the drawer guides, I did it wrong the firs time, but I could fit inside the space underneath the frame to fix the problem without major disassembly. One drawer arrived damaged but customer service sent me a replacement. The only reason for removing a star is just how high the mattress sits on this frame, too high for what one would expect from a platform bed, IMO. My 11 year old daughter calls it her princess bed, but I had to add a bench to her room just so she could put on shoes, since her little princess feet dangle from that height.

First time purchasing furniture unseen and it was a pleasant surprise. Delivery was timely and was given a heads up as to when to expect it and a call the morning of prior to arrival as well.Packaging was good as there was some damage to the boxes, but the actual bed was unharmed. Fantastic color to the bed. The drawers come assembled in one box. The headboard alone in another. The actual frame requires assembly, but it was relatively quick aside from a bit of difficult fitting one of the slide arms between the side rail and center support, but we got it in!My favorite thing? QUIET! The bed is incredibly quiet. No noise getting in and out of bed whatsoever. Brilliant. Drawers are spacious and will store a large number of items. Still unsure why they didn't put some on the other side. But all in all a fantastic product.

I like the bed although I wish it had drawers on both sides. Also, the drawers need to be towards the front and not open anywhere near the night stand area. My husband has the side with the drawers and unfortunately can't use one of the drawers because it won’t open with the night stand in the way. this is not a good bed if you have cats that like to claw on stuff. We normally keep the cats out of all bedrooms but occational one sneeks in and alwasys goes for the foot of the bed claw stretch. Needless to say this bed snags terribley from the cats claws.

We're working on redoing our bedroom and wanted a platform/storage bed. Have just had this bed for a few days and so far we love it. Feels high quality. Hit my shin on the corner the other night which hurt but I was glad it was this material and not a metal or wood frame. Came with clear instructions so it was pretty simple to put together and came with all pieces. Ended up being a lot higher than we expected for a platform bed but it's not an issue. I do wish it had drawers on both sides I don't see why it doesn't but that wasn't a surprise. If we come across any issues in the future I will update but I don't foresee any as it is a very well made bed!
