Damson Audio Jet Portable Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Speaker Pair - Black

Should have read the reviews before purchasing this set! The left speaker sounds blown when the volume is up loud. Customer service is excellent right off the bat but apparently trying to get ahold of Damson is nearly impossible. Guess we're stuck with one working and one blown sounding speaker. I will be skeptical of Damson products from here on out.

From the short period of time that I've had the speakers I love them.

Like that it is two speakers. Dislike that it says 20 watts and not loud at all. Hard to connect to blue tooth. Expensive.

Damson makes a great product most of the time. This is just not one of them from my experience. The connection between the two speakers is so spotty that the right one nearly always has more static than sound. The connection drops intermittently like it’s buffering. I was only able to get reasonably clear sound when my phone and both speakers were within a few inches of each other. I have a Damson Cisor also and it is one of my favorites. I use it constantly. The JET on the other hand are not worth the money.

I have been looking for a "loud" pair of blue tooth speakers for presentation purposes, and most blue tooth speakers under $100 have good sound, but no volume. This one promised 20W power and has some fancy technology (at least according to packaging). I did what the packaging says, synced the two speakers - a couple of notices.1) It has very loud BEEPS and a male voice announcing that it's connected. This happens before any connections are made. So unless you want to put up with these loud beeps and voice announcements, stop here.2) Once connected, the volume or the clarity is SO-SO. I compared it with the Amazon Basics bluetooth speaker bar - the Damson is a little louder, but not really better sound. I compared it with 30W Logitech Computer Speaker - the Logitech is DEFINITELY louder by a lot, and about $30 cheaper.So, in summary - I have no idea what this pair is good for. When I tried to unscrew the base to put it back into the packaging, I can't unscrew one of them no matter how hard I tried (that's the one I had trouble screwing on.). If you look at the threads and how they fit, you can see how poorly manufacutured they are. The packaging keeps reminding the buyer that this is designed in UK - trying to perhaps let you forget that they had this cheaply made somewhere in China. (Stuff made in China can be good, but you have to pay for it ... like the iphone or Galaxy).

Not enough power.

I have had my damson for 10years, is is not a jet but still a damson cisor speaker, I have come to find that this is unlike any speaker you will ever find. It is NOT just a speaker, it is better thought of as an instrument (why do string instruments have bouts?...i.e. a violin has an upper, middle, and lower bout when the sound will reverberate, wood and sap/sealant type is very important for string instruments). Each surface you place your damson cisor speaker(s) on will resonate the sound waves differently. Rule-of-thumb, HOLLOW is better. Wood/cardboard better for body (each type of wood will do it differently like an instrument). Thin metal reverberates higher pitched better. Iron reverberates base better. For example, for club music my cast iron tub gives the best base, for heavy metal my car or a metal table works best, and for everything is between wood is best (a hollow wood door or a wall). Most furniture today is made with particle or press board, these materials do not reverberate well, they and too dense and too synthetic. Music is best heard with natural material (solid wood, but wood densities play a role to, keep that in mind, the hardness of the wood will alter the reverberation of the sound).Long story short The damson cisor is an instrument just as much as it is a speaker.

Save your money and buy klipsch. I spent more money buying cheap speakers.
