First time ordering this top coat... went on easy and left a nice finish

We repainted a crib and used this clear coat. It was so runny that it was really hard not to let it pool or drip on the back of the pieces, no matter how little I put on the brush at a time. Then it was out of stock for a long time, so I ended up ordering a different brand of clear coat (that I liked much better) to finish up the crib, and now, a few months later, the pieces that were coated with this clear coat have a red tint to them while the other ones stayed clear. Maybe it won't be so bad if you are painting something that isn't white and doesn't have so many slats?

I used the chalky paint on a table, and followed instructions for this clear coat exactly as it stated on package. It dried lumpy and ruined the entire project

My cat was scratching my painted dresser, so I used this clear coat to protect the paint. It's worked perfectly. I only applied two coats, and my cats nails can't scratch the paint anymore.

Love this product! No harsh smell and easy to apply

I used this clear coat over a few items that were paint with chalk paint.It gave a wonderful finish and as absolutely no odour which was a plus for me. It applies better with a synthetic brush then with a sponge brush and the paint levels out.As per the second picture on dark colours make sure that you apply thin coats and that you don’t leave a thick amount of paint in angles and cracks because it won’t dry clear.This clear really enhanced the beauty of each piece I applied it on.Great product and I would repurchased without hesitation.

It is so versatile. I love working with this product. Used it as a sheer top coat over the dark brown chalkpaint by same brand..painted my leather couch..that's right painted my leather couch. It turned out amazing

Too many layers seems to yellow the stain. Not noticeable on dark colours, but I noticed it on my white chalk paint of this brand.Aside from that, I still enjoy the product until after the first use the lid sealed on and it can no longer open. I had to break the lid in order to get into it.Of course I bought the bigger container of clear so hopefully it doesn’t dry up or I am not able to use it or the money for this product would not be worth it.

Yellows the paint that you are using- I had to mix it directly into the paint and then apply it- I tried applying it by itself over my painted project and it yellowed the entire piece- I had to mix it into the paint and redo everything.I was super disappointed after all the great reviews it had

Doesn’t really do much except give a better looking finish to the chalk paint. Didn’t protect it at all - paint kept scratching and flaking off even with multiple coats of paint and clear coat. Total waste of money - had to redo the cabinet using a different product that is far superior. Wish I’d just bought that other product first and saved myself the aggravation. Will not buy this again - was totally useless.
