I cleaned out a 3 liter oak barrel used to age scotch before changing over to age rum and am glad I did after seeing all the crud (technical term for loose charcoal, wood bits, and biology projects) that were there. No taste or odors imparted after using this so I'm saying, get it and use it.

This wine kit has easy to follow instructions, the wine taste great and everyone loves it. This is my 3rd time making homemade wine. I will continue to buy this product.
