Just installed - 06 KC
Unlike the rest of the reviews my install is on a King Cab - there are no wires running to the rear door. I had to fish up into the foot well to find the wires heading out to the passenger door. there is a connector there with the Violet and Green/yellow wire. Its is best to dissemble all the other connectors to make it easy to pull out to work on. Not difficult, but not simple either.Otherwise tailgate locks, does seem kinda loud? it came with foam padding attached so not sure about additional insulation making it quieter. But also not gonna play with my locks so not really concerned about it.

Great Product! Almost an easy install. Electrical instructions not correct!
This item was almost so easy to install. I would have gave it 5 stars but, I took off 1 star for inaccurate directions elcosed, on their web site, and In their you tube Video. For all of you who are installing this on a 2010 Nissan Titan, The wires are located in the passenger side kick plate in a plastic white box that runs along the passenger side door. Once you open the box, (lots of clips) then look for Thick Solid Purple wire, Attach the Blue wire from the connector side using clip provided. Then look for the Thick Green wire with the thin yellow stripe, and attach the Green wire from the connector using the clip provided. (make sure you open clips well and after you close them, to use pliers to ensure a solid connection. The instructions also say to run your wire thru a grommet on under the floor board, but I ran it down and out of a grommet I found under the chassis. The rest of the installation went smoothly. Have any questions, Please let me know. And for the Company, Update your install instructions.

Easy to install
A little expensive, but you don't have to jimmy rig anything. Fits a 2007 Nissan Titan Crewcab SE. Note there is no brown wire, as all other reviews have noted, look for a purple and green with yellow stripe wires to connect to. These wires can be found under the floor channel on the passenger side of your truck.I recommend this product

So convenient. Easy to install.
Easy to install with basic tools. The trickiest part is locating the correct wires to tap into but with the help of the instructions and some YouTube videos, I located the correct wires behind the kickplate. It is SO NICE to not have to worry about locking or unlocking the tailgate manually anymore. You may want to add some foam rubber or other padding between the solenoid and the gate-wall after installing as it will make an audible clunk with a vibration without the padding.

Works well
30 days and and still working great! Two minor complaints are: the wire connections won't fit through the tailgate drain holes and the unit is noisy when operated in the hollow tailgate. Simple fix was to cut the pre crimped ends off and use my own connectors after the wire was run. To reduce noise I added a small piece of foam between the unit and the tailgate to deaden the vibration. Overall I'm very satisfied and hope they will become standard a standard feature on all trucks soon.

Works great
As another reviewer pointed out the instructions for the wiring were incorrect on my 2012 Titan, there was no brown wire. I connected to the green/yellow wire along with the purple like the instructions call for. Otherwise the instructions were fairly clear. My tail gate does not have a drain hole or grommet underneath it as the instructions stated, so I ran the wire out the side hole where the bed liner plastic piece secures to the side of the tailgate with one of those round plastic friction fasteners. I ran the wire along the passenger side of the vehicle aligned with an existing conduit and zip tied it good, making sure to avoid the exhaust. I found a drain hole under the rear passenger side floor trim that runs along the door. Running the wire up and along the floor trim I cmade the final connection inside the white plastic box on the passenger side floor chase. THis box will open up with a flat head screwdriver if you release all 8 or 9 of the little lockdowns. One thing I want to point out is my existing lock and assembly had quite a bit of rust and corrosion, I removed the entire tailgate trim piece that holds the handle and lock cylinder and wire brushed/cleaned and greased it good.
