So my daughter put my pampered chef ice cream scoop in the dishwasher, once you do that, it's only fit for the bin... so I brought this as a possible replacement. Nope.It is small but it's no better than an ordinary ice cream scoop, you need a strong wrist to scoop out "hard" ice cream, like what you get from the Ben & Jerry tubs.I suppose you get what you pay for.

Excellent design, just as described. Easy to use, easy to clean. Will not deteriorate since made from quality material. Pleased with my purchase!

Produces small scoops ping pong ball size - great if you are on a diet. Otherwise solid build and works as expected

I was a little reluctant when I opened the box because it's really lightweight & not as dense or heavy as what I used to use in a commercial kitchen but actually it's a really great scoop! It's the Perfect sized for your standard ice-cream cone & you can always double scoop if one just doesn't cut it.Bear in mind (as with any ice-cream related utensil) that if your ice-cream is a frozen block, you won't be getting it out. Make sure it's a little soft before scooping. I have a chest freezer and a stand-up freezer & trying to scoop ice-cream from the chest freezer is like trying to scoop a rock. The ice-cream in the stand-up freezer comes out like a dream straight away with no fuss so it's heavily down to the temperature of your ice-cream.It says don't put the scoop in boiling water or dishwasher too so make sure you clean it by hand. I did actually put it in boiling water to try and warm it up for the chest freezer ice-cream but it didn't actually do anything so there seems little point anyway. There's anti-freeze in the scoop so it doesn't get that cold anyway.

I use this to scoop ice cream, frozen, onto a pudding. The alternative is to take the ice cream out of the freezer beforehand, which is not always practicable. It’s a good product, and I’d recommend it to anyone, with the caveat that, if you have arthritis, it is a bit heavy, and your particular arthritis may make it difficult to hold, but, in any case, much easier than a spoon.

Great quality ice cream scoop. Dishwasher safe. Brilliant for hospitality commercial use. Lovely weight to it, quality utensil.
