GEWD19X25278 Dishwasher Diverter Assembly (Replaces WD18X21678, WD19X25259) Genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Part

My neighbors dishwasher was leaking, so I took a look at it for her. It wasn't hard to find that it was the diverter. Shame on the manufacturer who designed this! Really, a built in rubber neck molded to a plastic piece? It's not if yours will get worn out, it's WHEN will it start to leak. That should be a $2.00 rubber boot to replace. But No, buy this expensive part because we designed it to fail and force you to buy the replacement. Easy to install and it worked.

Dishwasher was only three years old, almost to the day. Fortunately when this part failed it leaked while we were home and we stopped it before the flood got too bad. As others have reported, the rubber tube part rotted old, outrageous for a three year old machine. As for the repair, it was easy, took about 90 minutes all in. YouTube university helped of course.

A call to GM repair service would have cost me $110 + part + labor + tax which could easily exceed $300 or even $400.Btw, you don't have to buy hose clamps separately. The package comes with 5 with different sizes

Works perfect, make sure to use two hose clamps to prevent failure from OEM factory install.

Found a video on YouTube and fixed it quick. Took maybe 20 minutes beginning to end.
