200 Brilliant Endgames (Dover Chess)

Wonderful Endgame Book
This is a must-have book for endgame aficionados! Well-selected endgame studies that will improve your tactical skills and vision. Or just for enjoying all the brilliant endgames studies. Chernev's wording is very pointed and gives as much explanation as needed. I own the old book "Chessboard Magic! A Collection of 160 Brilliant Chess Endings" published in 1943. For a better reading experience, I now bought the Dover reprint as a Kindle ebook which has modern algebraic notation.

Minuscule Diagrams for Kindle
The diagrams in the Kindle version are way too small, and you cannot zoom them in. The latter is absurd, so I guess they used the wrong approach to scan the original diagrams (too little resolution). Other than that, the collection of chess problems is delightful.

funny endgame studies
A chernev book is an integral part of any chess library, and 200 brilliant endgames is the masters final work. Always witty, illuminating and lively, Irving chernev explores the chrystalline beaty of chess at its best, analyzing 200 unique endgames of players from Afansiev to Yakimchik. The studies are well picked, funny and entertaining, usually difficult to solve, but not impossible as they are in other books about endgame studies. The best of Irving chernevs book are timeless and continue to sell well years after his death. This is one of them.Book is in algebraic notation.Komodo
