The grip is great
I like the look and feel of the traditional cane wrapped handle, but the texture on this handle is great. Blade is well made and stupid sharp. Teeth are impulse hardened and therefore not easily sharpened, but a little care taken will make this saw last quite a while.

Great handsaw, well built and good value
The handle is cork type material and feels nicer than ribbed handle of other similar competitors on Amazon. Blade felt sharp on first cut of some solid burl wood. The saw is versatile for many woodworking, craft, and carpentry duties around home. Double sided blade for different applications. Wish it came with a dedicated sheath but the packaging it came in is sufficient. Great value for the price. Two screws (other brands have one) hold blade, which is replaceable, to the handle. Dimensions of saw are perfect for many jobs. Made in Japan and is a traditional japanese saw.Edit: asked my brother to use his power tools to cut a very thick roughly sawn piece of lumber... Said he couldn't cut it lol. Used this saw and a flexcut woodcarving knife to make a charcuterie board and it sliced like a dream. This saw is great!

Nice saw
For the money I like this a great deal more than a previous similar saw I have owned for some years, and that I paid more $ for. A true 5 star would be a fully thickness-tapered saw that would likely have to be made by hand and would cost many times what this one does. For general and fairly precise wood cutting this saw works well. I like the feel of the handle. I've made several dozen angled cuts in thin cedar siding for my house so far, and it cuts cleanly and with little pressure, which is why I bought it - thin cedar = fragile. It seems a little stiffer and more resistant to the kink you can get on a Japanese type saw if one is not careful on the push stroke, which is a good thing. My only complaint with the Japanese pull saws is that sharpening one requires a unique, purpose-made file, and is nearly impossible to restore to original sharpness once the teeth are dull. Although given how hard the impulse hardened teeth are it takes many years to get to the point one of these needs resharpening. At this price point better to just buy a new saw.

I love this saw
I have owned at least two others Irwins like this which I bought at Lowes. My last one, I dulled up the blade cutting through cedars 2 x 4s helping a friend in Oklahoma. Tried to replace it in Oklahoma and Texas: No Joy as Lowes now wants you to order it online and go pick it up when it comes in. Checking Amazon I saw this one its about 2/3 the size, but a beauty and very capable. Be careful it is Japenese sharp. I love Japense style pull saws and I love this saw. You will be amazed what you can shave off with these saws

Una obra de arte.
Liviana, flexible, afilada.Exige práctica para su uso si se tienen como costumbre las herramientas tradicionales, pero solo tenerla vale el precio.

So easy to use
This has been a real valuable tool in our box. We have used this in many ways already. We actually used it to cut grass that had grown through fiber matting on our yard area. That stuff was so thick and heavy and the saw made it possible to cut through it and remove in pieces. Trust me it was a beast. Also used this to trim edges off of foot holds for the ramp on the chicken coop we built. I like it and my husband likes it. My daughter in law even tried it out and was very successful with it and would like one. Buy one you won’t be disappointed.

It’s a good saw at a good price.
It’s better than a lot for back cut saws but not as good as a few. The cross cut teeth have a littLe more kerf than I expected. Not necessarily a bad thing but it’s a little hard to trim plugs with. It will mark up the a joining wood a tad. I know that it’s not really the rt saw for that but I have some that handle it and some don’t.Love the rip side, cuts nicely thru Mahogany 2” thick struggles with the 6/4 white oak but most saw do if you don’t wedge the cut. Did fine on the 1/4 and rift sawn white oak.I like the proportions, handle to blade just about rt.

Nice product ... as described.
Purchased as a gift and I will purchase another for myself if needed. Good product.

Good cutting action
The saw is ready to use and provides excellent cuts with very fine kerfs.Better on soft woods but due to the thin blade, they can drift internally with hard woods.Something to be aware of with hard woods; cut slower, check often.
