Great grinder
Easy to use and very portable. Note around 2 cups of coffee max in one go. I don’t mind taking a while to grind the coffee (2-3 mins) but if you do not for you. Otherwise super good grinder with no complaints at all.

One of the best manual grinders
In case you want to use a manual grinder, this is a very good with gridding scales from percolator to espresso. For thinner coffees (as espresso) you may find hard το grind more than a couple of cups daily, but if your routine is up to 2 cups, manual grinder is a good economic option and with Porlex you have the best quality. The size is perfect for travelling. With a porlex and a mokka pot you can have the best coffees even if you are away from home, on vacation and camping.

Grinds well, I still can't make coffee taste good though
Works well. Looks nice and simple. I can't make good coffee though, but that's on me.

How to find the 'zero' setting
Very pleased with this grinder but took a while for me to work out how to find the 0 setting - "6 clicks for aero press, 3 clicks for espresso" doesn't mean much if you don't know where O is! However, just found a video from an Australian coffee supplier with a foolproof way of finding it: assemble the grinder & hold it horizontally so the grinder handle can fall freely under its own weight; then tighten the nut just until the handle doesn't fall - ie one click looser and it does fall. The point at which the handle stays up under its own weight is the zero point where the burrs are just touching. Now finding the right number of clicks from here is very simple. This method also means that you don't need to keep tightening the burrs as far as possible in the mistaken belief that brute force will locate the zero point - it won't do that, but it may damage the burrs. Hope this is helpful!PS 3 clicks grinds a mean espresso.

Tea ceremony for coffee drinkers.
Beautifully made, just what I would expect from a Japanese product. It’s items like this that are such a pleasure to use that they enhance the experience of making your perfect cup.

A lot of fines
Quite a nice grinder to use - the handle is a good size so quite easy to turn. Two main negatives:1. Not very easy to find the zero point of the burrs, especially as you don't want to tighten them against each other, so adjusting grind size for different brew types is a bit difficult.2. There are a lot of fines coming through - much more than I would hope for a grinder at this price. I can even feel a bit of play in the axle, so not surprising that this would happen.Overall wouldn't recommend this for use at home - can understand why it would be good for travel and making coffee on the move though.

Fast great
I really like it but the big size is max for 3 cups of coffee if you want only 2 cups the mini one is enough
