Great two player card game
Simple and easy to learn card game where the players have to create tricks of their chosen expedition (up to 6 different ones). Match cards of the same colour in ascending order to gain points. Wager cards can be used at the beginning of each expedition to either double, triple or quadruple your final score. However if you don't make a score of over 20 your can end up with a minus value as the expeditions have a cost of 20 to start. Tricks of 8 cards or more give a bonus of 20 points on top. Holding onto cards your opponent needs is a good strategy to winning as once they have played a card of a certain number a lower value card cannot be played. The discard piles for each colour can be a good way of storing cards you might want to use later as you can only hold 8 cards at once. Don't wait too long though as once the draw pile is empty the game is over and the scores are added up.

A brilliant 2 player game
I love playing this game with my wife. It's easy to learn and simple to play while being competitive and full of interesting decisions. The box could have been smaller but the cards themselves are very portable.

Simple, complex, great
The rules are simple. The game flows quickly. Nice, simple game.Except the more you play it, the more you realise Joe much strategy comes in. And as a 2 player game, it quickly becomes a battle of wits where you try to hide your intentions whilst blocking your opponents.Great game

Great game for 2 players
This is a lovely game with beautiful thick playing cards and addictive gameplay, carefully balancing luck with strategy and craftiness. You may find yourself really thinking about how to strategize at the start, then quick fire highs and lows of luck near the end really makes it a game you and your partner will come back to time and time again.

A two player race to adventure and treasure.
Lost Cities is a great little two player game that captures the feeling of explorers rushing to see who can be the first to find treasure and adventure through a series of expeditions. The game itself is very simple to play yet it has depth to it as you rush to build your expeditions while at the same time holding back the cards you also don't want your rival to have and possibly give them the lead. The artwork on the cards is quite nice and it also tells of your adventure through the art itself. This version comes with the sixth set of cards (the purple deck) and while the main game with five decks and five locations is fine, I recommend that you play with all six just to give the game a bit more time to allow you to develop your expeditions. Although try both sides to see which suits your playstyle better. The scoring system is a little weird but don't let it out you off. Buy this game and happy exploring!

Solid two player game
Great fun and quick two player game. Can be a little luck based (hence 4 stars rather than 5) but a fun filler for anyone into modern board games.
