Mole Trap, Glass-Filled Nylon

Best "hands-free" mole trap for the queasy. I have always been successful in my endeavors. This was the best price by far post pandemic. I could not find this locally. Delivered in pristine/great condition.

Followed the instructions and placed the trap over a mole tunnel. The ground was no longer frozen and damp. Placing the trap was easy. But to get the scissors to open was very difficult. I was actually standing and jumping on the foot pedal until the scissors opened finally. During the process I lifted the trap off and turned it 180 degrees to allow for easier opening. There were no stones or anything that could have blocked the opening - other than the dirt. Anyway, long story short,some plastic broke off and setting the trigger is now more difficult.I gave the product three stars because I caught the first mole within 8 hours after I set the trap.I would have given it 5 stars if the opening of the scissors would have been easier and without damage.Make sure that you push the required hole into the tunnel for the trigger to function correctly and place the trap above it!Good luck.

I've used 3 or 4 styles of traps to catch moles for over 20 years. This trap is bad. You need a shovel to dig slots for the jaws and then you need to bend over and "set" the trap after you open the jaws with your feet. Very difficult to spread the jaws, especially in hard ground. If your balance isn't good (older folks) for sure don't buy this product. Get a Wire Tek 1001 - insert the jaws in the tunnel, step on it and , bang, your done.

This trap sat on a busy road for almost a week. Today I found it had popped itself right out of the ground, no mole. And the thing isn't dead, I found new activity.When I tried to reset it myself (husband did it the first time), Not even standing on the pedal was enough pressure. Taking this back to the store.

A waste of money in the north. The mole runs are too deep for the device to function as described. The only thing caught to date has been my pocket book.
