Egg Slicer with Stainless Steel Wire for Boiled Eggs

Love this! Easy to clean. Very sturdy and easy to use. It's attractive too!

I needed a new egg slicer and this looked like just what I needed and it is! All egg slicers like this end up broken after a few years of work, the wires get wonky and off track but this replacement looks stellar! I could have actually gone to the store and bought one but for the price difference of almost nothing this was sent to me, yay!

I've used this for awhile slicing eggs for salads and it works fine. I did one quart of strawberries for the dehydrator and the wire is stretched beyond use. I'm ordering another for doing eggs but won't try it on any soft fruits. The hinge kept popping out too. It just isn't built for berries.

This is a simple egg slicer with wires and a plastic base that holds a hard cooked egg in two possible orientations. My previous version was similar, but the wires were held in such a way that they eventually disconnected as a unit each time I used the device. This one appears to hold the wires in a sturdier manner. It slices the eggs as desired. I'm happy.

Just fine for the Job

It seems to be made well, but I’m a little disappointed. It will only take fairly small eggs and it doesn’t have the depression to allow you to rotate the egg to chop them in smaller pieces for making egg salad. I just got it today, so I haven’t used it yet. But for the price, I guess you get what you get.UPDATE: Now that I have used it, other reviewers are absolutely correct that it does not slice the eggs all the way through. The third time I used it, it broke. I ordered a different one. I do not recommend at all.

I've been eating more eggs over meat proteins lately and realized I didn't have an egg slicer. Of course a knife will also cut eggs fine but there is something about slicing a whole egg simply with one motion and seeing the nice little "coins" of egg. Easy to wash by placing under running water and a quick wipe dry. As an added plus the color seems to stand out in my kitchen "junk" drawer so I can find it when I want to use it again.

It doesn’t slice all the way through. The wires don’t go down far enough, so the egg gets stuck on the slicer, and I have to pull it the rest of the way off... losing parts of the egg in the process. I’ll be buying a different model.
