For the price, it makes zooming in and out very smooth for camera. You could spend more on something more comfortable, but this thing works great and gets the job done.

Works well. I use it for hunting. Wish the button click for recording was a little quieter but I can deal with that.

I can confirm that this Lanc controller does not work with my HXR-NX30 or PXW-X70. I'm not that disappointed as I plan on upgrading soon and this Lanc will pair up with whatever Sony I get.The build quality of this zoom control is solid - the clamp to secure it to the tripod arm is tight. I've used Fujinon and other professional grips and this is a good match for smaller video cameras.

I want try it on my Sony Fdr AX700 but not work.
