PETZLSpiky Plus Anti-Slip Shoe Sole Covers

I've used Spiky for years while living on the shores of Lake Tahoe, and now in Salt Lake City. Winter marathon training can be "iffy" with snow and ice, but the Spikies come to the rescue offering just enough traction (within reason) for running on slick surfaces.

These have been perfect for running. I don't know if they'd work for normal walking but jogging provides the inertia that allows them to grip really well. I use them whenever the snow/ice doesn't melt on the streets/sidewalks and I can maintain my exercise schedule no problem and excuse-free.

I really wanted to love these but but smallest size were too big for my size 6 boots and I lost one while out walking my dog in deep snow. I retraced my steps and couldn’t find it. A friend of mine bought the same ones and had one break. She was able to get a replacement set.

Very easy to install and to remove. I no longer slip while walking on ice, whether it is hard frozen or beginning to melt. I feel very secure and stable when wearing the Spikey Plus shoe covers.

Needed these for winter running in icy conditions. Work well but not super durable so will only last about 1 season.

These are great for walking the dog - after a snowstorm and on the ice! (Better to take them off before walking around in the house.)

These were a gift for my husband to run outside during the winter months. He has only had to use them twice but they worked just fine.

Product performs well and keeps you from slipping or falling.

Bought to replace pair that have gone missing. Our family have used these in icy weather over several years and can recommend them highly.

Good service from PJ Outdoors - they replaced a wrong size at no extra cost - but unfortunately the product, Petzl Spiky Plus Crampons & Grödels black 2018 iron spike, is not great - three of the spikes damaged first time I took them out ! Have had similar product before - different manufacturer ? - that lasted years.

Got these to avoid slipping on icy pavements. They arrived v quickly ✅but I had a bit of a struggle fitting them as they seemed rather small & I thought they might break, they didn’t - and seem to work well. I’m not sure if walking on non icy pavements will damage them, this often occurs but it’s easier now to take them off which is best solution.

1) Ausweislich der Präge-Nr. ist der gekaufte Art. in 2011 produziert worden, mithin ca. 8 Jahre alt. Jeder weiß, daß Gummi und Kunststoffe altern. Gummi-Reifen z.Bsp. sollen im Alter von ab 6 Jahren zumindest nicht mehr für leistungsstarke schnelle Kfz verwendet werden. Daher ist hier bereits der größte Teil der Lebensdauer m.E. verbraucht.2) Größenangabe ist zweifelhaft. Ich kaufte in Gr. 3 und sie passen nur mit größter Mühe auf einen Halbstiefel EU 45 / UK 10,5 obwohl diese Größe für Größen ab 46 aufwärts beworben wird.3) Beim ersten Aufziehen löste sich auch gleich noch ein Spike aus dem Gummiträger des Ballenbereichs. Die Einpressungen am Fersenband machen den Eindruck, als seien sie mit viel zuviel Druck eingepresst. Hier dürften sich beim intensiven Einsatz wohl auch bald die Spikes lösen.Summa sumarum ist in Anbetracht des vgl.weise geringen Preises gerade noch die Vergabe eines Sternes mvL vertretbar.Hier auf Amazon gibt es nur wenig teurere Grödel-/Steigeisen-Produkte, die 4 oder sogar 5 Sterne zurecht verdienenund den Kunden absolut zufriedenstellen.
