This is why reviews are so important, especially when there are not many. I took a gamble on this as I have a 2012 Jetta Sportwagen with automatic DSG transmission. The gear selector in mine does not look like the picture, but the bottom silver plate however did so I took a shot. It literally fit perfect and stuck firm into place. It looks excellent and totally worth the price. I am thrilled, especially since the sun had ruined the silver plate so this was just what I needed. Thanks for a great product.

This is amazing. I have a 2009 MK5 GTI, It fit perfectly, was very easy to apply, and looks super nice. I applied it on a 90 degree day, so didn't need to warm it up, but definitely try to peel only part of the backing at a time. It does not go fully around the n/d/s letters, but you honestly can't tell until you put your face down close. Well worth its cost (I thought it was a good price), and amazing to get such a precise cut on a mass made piece. My gear cover had been flaking off, and covering the spots with sharpie just wasn't good enough anymore, im very happy with this!

I bought the entire carbon fiber dash kit for my VW GTI MKV...so far the gear cover was the only thing that has arrived. I've worked with these types of applications in the past so I know that it is important to heat them up slightly to allow the product to stretch a tad...I did and pealed the back plastic off slightly to expose a little of the adhesive at a time and the proceeded to apply slowly...NO PROBLEMS WITH FIT AND ADHESION!!! would buy again! Knowledge is power!

Not a perfect fit but covers enough for my needs since the matte rubber finish was peeling off. Mk5 gli.

Buyer Beware: Purchased for a 2012 VW Jetta to cover bezel around shifter. Sun hits it & blinds me while driving so this cover was very much needed. Holes in bezel are waaay off. Doesnt align with P R N D S Please see attached pic for proof

This is the perfect, cost effective fix. For my MK6 GTI.It looks great, easy to install and so much less expensive than the dealership . I highly recommend.
