Resurgence (End of Empire Book 3)

Loved it! Janaway's conclusion to his End of Empire series is the storngest installment yet. He draws from the familiar species of fantasy literature, but throws them together into an over-boiling stew unlike any other author in the genra. His intertwined storylines are brilliantly plotted, and his characters deep and superbly drawn (including the occasional Martinesque sudden sacrifice). Outstanding is the pacey dialogue, which puts the reader into the scene, to feel the heat and tension of the shattered Tissan Empire on every page. Don't buy just this book for the fantasy-loving reader on you gift list, get them the entire riveting series!
