A stellar DVD featuring the earlier and heavier Queen
As mentioned in several other reviews, I've been a Queen fan ever since I first saw them perform in the 1970s. The early Queen was a harder rocking and heavier band than the pop-rock style of music they later became famous for. "A Night At The Odeon" does a good job of capturing that earlier, heavier, and in my opinion, better sound. Although I would rate "Live at the Rainbow 74" slightly better due to song selection, "Odeon" showcases a more confident and polished Queen. Perhaps, Queen at their best. The tracks featured on the DVD are:Now I'm HereOgre BattleWhite Queen (As It Began)Bohemian RhapsodyKiller QueenThe March Of The Black QueenBohemian Rhapsody (Reprise)Bring Back That Leroy BrownBrighton Rock (Guitar Solo)Son And DaughterKeep Yourself AliveLiarIn The Lap Of The Gods... RevisitedBig SpenderJailhouse Rock MedleyThe two glaring omissions are the hard-rocking 1) Father To Son, and 2) Stone Cold Crazy. Plus, "Killer Queen" and "Bring Back That Leroy Brown" are duds. Even so, "Odeon" is nevertheless a superb rock DVD that all Queen fans should experience.

Great News! Being a life-long fan of Freddie and ...
Great News! Being a life-long fan of Freddie and the Dreamers (only kidding) QUEEN I had to review this concert. Long before the group became famous my 2 best listens were and still are, KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE & LIAR. I have many concerts on disc and saw them over 3 times in the 70's at MSG and the Philly Spectrum and I can't recall these 2 songs being playED' as close to their album "QUEEN" as here. Please, do yourself a favor and skip the 3 songs in Japan. They're awful with a capital A'. It made me appreciate the main show that much more. It's not a long concert but if you like early QUEEN, this shouldn't disappoint you. Whether it's Freddie's voice, wardrobe or stage presence it's all here. Sit back and enjoy one of the greatest voices and bands in Rock n' Roll History in their early years. Now if someone could get Eagle Rock to obtain (if available) and release a "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Concert from Elton's 70's Tour I'd be REAL happy. PS: If you are a baby boomer or had older siblings it's time to get up and "Do the Freddie". Here's a "SHOUT OUT" to all you Freddie and the Dreamers.

Excellent
This was a very pleasant surprise. With it being filmed in 1975 I thought the picture and sound quality would be not so good. But it was excellent. But the credits said film restoration and they did a fantastic job of it. Young Queen, Freddie was only 29 years old at that time and fantastic. But he was always fantastic in my eyes. The bonus footage was good also. Very happy with this purchase. There has to be more concert footage somewhere and I wish they would release it all on DVD.

Amazing Concert, Excellent Disc Condition!
Truly an amazing concert, especially for us younger folks that weren’t around back then. Personally, this is my favorite era of Queen, before all of the greatest hits took over the setlists. Nearly all of the songs are from the first 3 albums, and they are performed so well! Considering it was filmed for TV in 1975, the remastering is very good. The Blu-ray that I got was also in brand new/unopened condition, easily a great purchase. Perfect for any Queen fan, especially those of us that want more of the earlier days!

Queen Introduces Us To Bohemian Rhapsody in this DVD
I loved seeing this tour since it was my first time seeing this amazing band. This is a must buy for any Queen fans. Long live the Queen a band no one could ever come close to. My first album by them was Queen II still one of my all time favorites. Seeing Freddie start in a white apparel and then the black was just like that album. This video is a shorter version than the 74 at the Rainbow. But my first concert seeing this band they introduced us to the start and end of Bohemian Rhapsody in a melody of songs. So just for that I give it 5 stars for Queen and their producer Roy Thomas Baker who helped in the sound in a big way.

Can't say enough about Queen
An amazing concert by one of the greatest bands in Rock and Roll history. Even early in their career you can see and hear their brilliance.

Queen at their BEST (but also every album up till Jazz.)
To watch my favorite all time band perform at their best. I’m an early Queen fan from Queen 1 to Jazz. After that, they changed their sound (performance n look) I wasn’t that thrilled of their music then. Don’t get me wrong I still bought every album cause of them being my all time fav,’ Marcus gc but I mainly listen to the albums before the Game but I do love the Flash Gordon album.

Very Good Gig But 'Rainbow Theatre 74' DVD is better !
Excellent 1975 gig from Christmas eve 75 .........hard rock, seering vocals, attacking guitar. The set is mainly first 2 albums and sone 3 rd album songs. Also contains nice interview with Roger and Brian.## NB.... ' Rainbow Theatre 74' DVD is the better of the two DVD concert releases from this era.##

Queen at their early best
This DVD of the show took me back to the first time I saw Queen in concert that year. It captured the raw energy and talent of the group at a time when they were massively popular but also on the receiving end of bad press reviews of their work.

Queen Awesome again
Classic Queen at a classic venue. This was just as Queen were hitting the big time. A must for any music fan and if you are a Queen fan then you are just about to buy it or have already got it. I love all the Queen archive concerts that have come out on DVD since the early 2000's.
