John DeereAM130907 Deck Level Gauge

I previously had one of these gauges and used it to level and calibrate the deck on my John Deere X570 Lawn Tractor. The gauge works quite well, and is better and easier to use than the small gauge included with the machine. However, I find that the gauge is quite fragile. One day, while leveling the deck, I was moving from one side of the machine to the other, and I accidentally dropped my first John Deere deck gauge. It broke on impact, and broke in a fashion that it could not been repaired. It slipped out of my hand, and dropped to the floor at a distance of no more than 2 feet. But is broke in 2 pieces. That is why I ordered a second gauge. I works well, but be careful since the material and design is quite fragile.

Works well and easy to use. Just make sure base is flat on the ground. Plastic so take care.

It works fine a level surface but if not, it does not give accurate measurements. It does do what I needed it to do.

This deck leveler was a fair price, for what it’s made out of. Obviously it doesn’t need to be made of anything but the plastic that it is. It was light weight and worked like a charm. I leveled my deck in about 20 minutes. I originally used a tape measure and this was 20 times better than a tape measure. I recommend you buy one of these if you want to get the job done right.
