Fresh Persimmons- 5LBS

I received my order of fresh persimmons today. 5 lbs, 17 total. The fruit is lovely. Clean, smooth and still a bit firm. I will leave them in a cool, dark room to finish ripening. I am impressed with these persimmons and will update on taste in about 7 to 10 days !UPDATE ! I enjoyed these persimmons. It took about 4 weeks to fully ripen. Persimmons should be very soft and creamy for the full sweet flavor to be enjoyed.I just placed another order !UPDATE : Second order of persimmons arrived today. Beautiful orange fruit. Needs time to ripen, probably 3 to 4 weeks. I'm very happy with the fruit and the seller. I would recommend because the fruit is lovely and the care in which they were shipped is worth the price.

These are Fuyu persimmons. They arrived slightly earlier than expected but that's A-OK. They're not perfect, but what garden or orchard grown fruit is? If you don't want to eat the black spots simply cut them off—simple. The first one I had was firm, possibly not perfectly ripe, and had a mild sweetness—it was pleasant. I eat them skin and all. The second one was still firm, but slightly softer, but much sweeter, so perhaps a little more ripe—so delicious. I just had to have a third one, and it was good. Now I want to buy more but unsure how big this window is to buy more. I can see some sliced persimmons going nice in a good bowl of oatmeal. I'll be keeping these in mind for the future.

Fruits are extremely small and are not good.They are rotting in the top where they are separated from the tree.The Merchanted is not responsive.I have waited over 5 days since contacting them and is still waiting.Please be careful.I usually don't do this, but the Merchant is not responsive which is not good

I loved that the seller took the time to package the fruit in paper, which protected the persimmons from bruising as well as extended the sled life of my produce. I ate every single morsel without waste. Each bite was flavorful and amazing. There is nothing like great persimmons, and this batch hit the marks. They arrived ripe and ready in their classic orange hue. Perfect size for snacking and the skin was t too hard or bitter. The flesh of the persimmon was smooth and sweet.

They arrived quick and in perfect condition, but after weighing them they could have at least added one more to make it 5lbs. The weight of all the persimmons I received was 4.83 lbs. I haven't had a chance to sample any because they're not ripe yet, but I'll write an update when I do.

The box came 5 days earlier than expected. 😊 The fruit was nestled in crumpled brown paper and other than 1 on the verge of spoiling (ate that one right away) all were firm and in fine condition. That first fruit was sweet and delicious although I prefer the fuyu crisp. All the others are perfectly firm…where they will keep a while or can be eaten right away.Update! 2 weeks since the order arrived and we are still enjoying our persimmons. I have about 6 left. A few are getting soft & a little spotty, but they are still delicious!

Persimmons are sweet but the ones I received are smushy and softly wet and beyond edible. I threw the spoiled ones to the garbage

I got these on sale which was an awesome deal. They were packed 3-4 to each shipping envelope that's padded, inside a box. They also had about 3-4 extra envelopes on top and bottom. They are not ripe yet which is perfect because I'm not quite ready to fix them..there were 22 huge persimmons. These are way bigger than the ones that grow here in NC! My dad's tree was struck by lightning and it ruined my beautiful persimmons. So I was really happy to find these! All are in excellent condition..I'm very shocked that they traveled this far and are still perfect! Great packaging job. Though I haven't tasted them yet, I'm sure they are good. Guess who's going to be having persimmon pudding for Christmas! If you're thinking about ordering these, you should. I'm not sure about some of the other reviews saying bad quality but mine were excellent.
