Sublime Beauty: Hawai'i's Trees

The book is not intended as an identification guide - there is not enough information for identification, for sure. It is not an artistic photo book either. It simply represents photos of trees in Hawai'i, native and introduced. The photos are technically good and they mostly show foliage and inflorescences, in some cases trunk or a whole tree. The captions mostly tell the uses of the species and the native range in the case of introduced species. Many photos have been taken in gardens and parks and as majority of the species are introduced, the photos could have been taken anywhere in the world tropics; I find this the biggest weakness of the book. I would have liked to see more natural tree stands.
