Baxton Studio A-136-J001-Ottoman Ottomans, 25L x 22W x 17H, Brown

This is a solid piece of furniture and a great value. I wanted a foot stool to go with a wingback chair I have in the bedroom. It’s where I do my reading. And having a storage compartment for a blanket makes it perfect for late night reading. Overall it’s a very nice piece. I am even enjoying it as I write this review. If you need a foot stool I can recommend this one if it complements your chair…you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent quality, easy cleanability, and looks great!

The size is good but when you touch it does not feel like leather. Even the effect in the picture is not the same. When you look at the picture it looks like two tone around the edges near the stitching like leather. But does not have the same effect in person and does not have that leather smell. Really feels like fake leather. And no labels to confirm if it is leather or not. Sure hope I am wrong. If I am not it is really not worth more then what I paid for it. If you really want leather I would think twice before purchasing it.

I have not had this for very long but so far I can say that this is a very nice looking and well built ottoman. Plenty of storage space. About 5 3/4 inches deep. I put all of my remotes, game controllers, some games, some movies and batteries in the storage space. Thick cushion. The cushion is pretty firm. Much more firm than my old ottoman but I think that is probably a good thing. It will probably soften up over time. Measuring from the floor to the top of the cushion it is about 16 inches. Perfect height for my couch. Has a good weight to it. Not easily knocked around. This came by Fedex which surprised me. I thought for sure that a courier would be used. I don't think the Fedex guy was too thrilled. It took 3 days to get to me using two day Amazon Prime shipping. Exactly what they said.That's all I have for now.Update: 12/2/2011I'm knocking 2 stars off of this one. I have had this for almost two years and the corners on the top and the bottom are starting to fray. I really didn't think I was beating it up that much. I have another leather ottoman that is probably 30 years old and the edges of that are perfect. When I look at the frayed edges on this one it almost doesn't seem like leather. Actually it seems like a thin layer of plastic over some other material. I can peel it off and it is stretchy. Very disconcerting.Still a decent place for storage and to kick up my feet and to eat a small meal on but not looking quite as good as it did originally and I am wondering how long it will hold up.Update: 1/14/2014Almost 4 years now and still going. Corners are a little more worn but not as bad as I would have expected at this point. The rest of it still looks good. Top looks pretty good and that is what gets used the most. It's not cut up or worn. It's still very firm after 4 years. I am always kicking up my feet on it and I sometimes have a warm plate of food on it. And sometimes a hot cup of tea or coffee. Although I do see a couple of very slight cup sized ring indentations. Maybe those cups were a little too hot. Hinges are still good. I have tons of stuff in this thing and am often going into it. Several times per week anyway.Still a great ottoman. Just bummed about the corners. I am going to give it back one star for longevity.

This ottoman came very well shipped and it was just the size I needed. Love that it's a little bigger and doubles as a small coffee table. Very good quality and would recommend it.

I wanted to match another ottoman that I ordered form another store, not on Amazon, and this one looked identical. I got it for a good price, but the leather on this one looks fake and the color is darker and shinier--more "plastic" looking. The photo looks more like the first ottoman I ordered--real leather and lighter.Now, after a few months of light use, the bottom piping is falling off. It was stapled in but the staples are falling out.Overall it is okay, but I was hoping to match the quality of the other unit. The quality of this unit is poor and I will probably have to replace it soon.

This is a great ottoman. I like the storage, it is heavy enough to not slide around, and my husband said assembly was easy. It was purchased to sit in front of a window for small dogs to sit on & look out! They rate it as 5 star!!

Very good quality. Well made. Looks great in my livingroom. The color is a darker brown than what I expected.
