Heavy Duty Commercial Grade Replacement for Eureka Sanitaire Mighty Mite Smart Vac Hose Fits Eureka Sanitaire Vacs Compatible with Part 60289-1 and 60289-7 (10 Foot)

I purchased this replacement hose for my Eureka Mighty Mite vacuum and I am thoroughly impressed. Right out the box I could tell this hose was of stronger and better material than the hose that originally came with the vacuum. It also appears to be longer as well and the suction power is way stronger. Installation is an absolute breeze, it was done in at least 30 seconds. I have been using the new hose for about a week and have had no complaints.

Fits like a charm and smells so new and improved. The handle on this piece is ideal for maneuvering. The nozzle is composed of a higher grade of material than the original 15 years old piece. That original nozzle had cracked and shattered over time- just a few years— I just kept limping along a few more years with the busted piece.Now I don’t know what took so long.Finally I took control of my better judgment.Suddenly I did not mind at all getting a whole new hose. It’s all brand sparkling new for now. Does a swift job.

The Eureka Sanitaire is probably the best vacuum cleaner ever. They are not sold on the open market anymore. I can still get parts on Amazon.The new shape doesn't have the sealing the old ones. This lessens the suction a bit

We love our little yellow vacuum but the hose that comes stock is pretty flimsy and bendy. It did not take long at all before it began to kink especially at connection points making it annoying to have to readjust often while vacuuming. This was a substantial upgrade, the hose is very sturdy and does not kink. Plus it's longer so just better all the way around. It fit our 3670G perfectly and was well worth the money!

The hose itself is very high quality - heavy gauge, flexible. However, the engineering is bad in the handle piece.1) I use a Eureka Mighty Mite 3670H, which this hose is designed for, and there is too much suction for the hose to handle on either bare floor or on short carpet. The vent opening is too small to compensate for the amount of suction from the vacuum---even with the vent open all the way, the vacuum head gets stuck on the floor or carpet constantly, making using the vacuum very difficult. The original hose with the Eureka had a vent opening about double the opening size of this new hose.2) The original Eureka hose handle had the vent opening located on a straight portion of the handle, towards the front and under portion of the handle. This new hose has located the vent opening towards the back of the handle, just below the curved portion, and also facing-up towards the users face. This is a hugely bad and dangerous design: Anything being sucked-up from the vacuum head goes flying through the hose, and when it hits the handle portion, keeps on going straight. Because the vent opening is at precisely straight in line with the debris and detritus coming through the hose, this junk goes flying out the vent opening---tiny bit pieces of rocks, sand, glass, and other dangerous flying objects coming through the tube hose at 100 mph. I kept getting hit in the face with sand and other debris while vacuuming a job last night, couldn't figure it out until I covered the vent with my hand, then the flying objects stopped. But then the vacuum kept getting stuck to the floor. I was just lucky that I wear glasses, and even though I wear glasses, I got a lot of sand and dirt in my eyes.This is a high quality hose, with horrible engineering, I would not recommend until re-designed and problems fixed. Anybody using this, and unaware of the dust and debris spit from the hose, could risk serious eye injury.

The OEM hose for my Mighty Mite 3670G constantly kinks/crimps when I use it cutting off suction. That's because it's a cheap plastic tube that's built around a cheap plastic spiral structure instead of a metal wire structure. I was looking for replacement hose to deal with this issue. Given that the description for this product says "Heavy Duty Commercial Grade" I figured that a somewhat improved crush-proof and kink-proof hose would be included. Nope. The included hose uses a plastic spiral structure as well, and it kinks and crimps only slightly less than the OEM hose. While the connector to the vacuum fits well, it does not rotate very well at all, which will only increase the kink and crimp problem I was trying to fix. I even tried adding silicone lubricant as suggested by the seller in response to another review, and while this helped slightly, the reduction in friction was nowhere near sufficient for proper rotation of the connector when using the vacuum. Given these two issues, this is not an upgrade over OEM and I decided to stick with my old, OEM hose. Oh, and the left-over silicone lubricant on the vacuum has made the OEM hose spin more freely than ever. Reading that simple piece of advice was the best thing that I got out of purchasing this hose!
