Fats is not just a Domino.
I got this because the voices in my head said they liked it. I have to admit it is a great selection of tunes and a style that is worth bringing back to the radio.

Although some of these recordings are a little flat they're purely archival and we're fortunate to have such a composite collect
I bought this album on a whim, knowing very little about Fats Waller other than the song "Old Granddad" which I heard a few months back on a jazz radio station. Although some of these recordings are a little flat they're purely archival and we're fortunate to have such a composite collection from the early jazz era. Fats Waller was both an accomplished pianist and organist, which took me into some interesting yet unfamiliar territory, so for anyone looking for a glimpse into 1930's mainstream American pop, this would be a good starting point.

Superb Piano Playing
I recently attended in Jazz Festival and one of the artis was performing music by Fats Waller. I enjoyed it thoroughly and decided that I wanted to have it as part of my collection. I can count on Amonzon to have everything that I want.

A Worthy Collection Of Fats Numbers
This is as suggested on the cd cover a good deal of Fats instrumental numbers organ and piano. The reproduction is not too bad considering the age of the recordings The track which says it is Honeysuckle Rose seems to be another instrumental number. This is a good introduction to his music.Anyone will smile when they hear The Joint Is Jumpin' or You Rascal You.

Album of a Lifetime.
Fantastic compilation of my very favourite vintage purveyor of piano classics with added joy and fun lyrics. This man died of pneumonia on a train in 1939, the year of my own birth, but all of you youngsters out there will love to hear this album, especially if you have ever tried playing the piano (or Hammond organ!). Highly recommended

A drink for the piano player.
Have played this a lot since buying it. Some wonderful old favourites and plenty of songs and tunes I'm just getting to know. Night club, theatre, bar room and the end of the pier all rolled into one. And for all the years that have passed, they sound good too. Enjoy.

The legend lives on in this collection.
As a late learner to the piano I was interested to hear how the master played from way back. I was not disappointed and would recommend this CD to anyone who wants to listen to the all-time greats.
