I used this teapot maybe 5 times and the enamel chipped off. It’s useless now. That was an expensive mistake.Editing review: Company contacted me back after I reached out. Gave me a wholly unacceptable customer service reply. Told me I mistreated it - I wrote back and stated exactly how I used it those five times, all to their instructions. They say they “don’t cover this type of damage under warranty”. TWO WEEKS it lasted used per the instructions and they only offered 40% off a new one. I’ll definitely not make the same mistake a third time. Taking my money elsewhere. Suggest you do the same.

Really happy with this purchase: first of all, I was looking for a smaller kettle that wouldn't take over the stove. And it had to have good design, and whistle. Check, check, check. It has this cool. clean modern design (but not too extreme). For once, I read the instructions, and plan to keep it for a long time. I was a little concerned about other reviews that said the whistle was puny, but have found that not the case. It's not a pretty whistle sound (is there such a thing with a tea kettle?), in fact, sounds rather like a cat being stepped on once it really gets rolling (good enough for me if I'm in the other room). I fill it properly (according to the instructions) and make sure the lid is snapped all the way on, and point it away from cabinetry (not sure if that makes a difference but figured it was probably better). It boils; it shrieks; I make my tea. The wooden handle doesn't get super hot but I still put a towel on it anyway.

Solid teakettle but the wooden handle at the top is very susceptible to heat. I regularly take the top of the kettle off so water doesn't collect inside and deteroriate the finish but that has led to the handle losing some of it's finish already - and I've only had this maybe 4-5 months.You're definitely sacrificing some usability for the style, but it is looking sharp on range.

Admittedly, I haven’t had this very long. But I’m pleasantly surprised. I was hoping not to hate it, as I’ve had a lot of crappy tea kettles. But I actually really like this one. The handle stays cool, the whistle is nice, and I really like the way it feels and looks. It would not have been my first choice based on looks alone so I was a bit hesitant went I decided to get it (a purely stylistic concern), but now that I have it, I am very glad that this is the tea kettle I picked.

It's a very cute little tea kettle, but the "whistling" part is false advertising. We can barely hear the whistle when we're standing right next to the stove, and sometimes it doesn't make any sound at all.Update -- after arrival of replacement tea kettle. Now very satisfied & look forward to having this nice product for a long time,

It looks nice but it doesn’t work well. The water spills everywhere and doesn’t allow to fill the tea pot all the way to the top. Works for the look but definitely not usability.

Sadly, although this is a beautiful pot, it was not well thought out. First, the whistle is barely audible. Second, you cannot pick up the pot and pour at the same time, which was always possible with the Revere Ware kettles I grew up with. Just not what I expected, given the good reviews I saw.

I gave this to my partner for his birthday today and inside was a gift tag for someone else. VERY TACKY!
