From a mystical sense, to a practical description, these amazing creatures are celebrated in paintings, drawings and photographs, along with beautifully written words. I highly recommend this book for anyone who holds Crows, Ravens, Blue Jays and all others of the Corvid family close to their hearts.

If ever there was a paean to all things corvid, this lovely book must surely be it. The paper is high quality, the pictures are colourful and evocative, it combines the factual and mythic, it’s easy to read (with short articles, snippets and quotes), contains classic poetry examples (plus Poe’s complete, The Raven), mentions corvids in ballad, myth, fable, literature and film, discusses corvid problem solving and facial recognition skills, jay mimicry, crow funerals, ravens in the Tower of London, crows in the Old Testament, plaque doctors, crow gifts, crow play, Odin’s crows and the Crow Tribe of Montana.But it’s the artwork that really makes the book, which is abundant throughout. There’s not only beguiling illustrations and photos, but also gothic-style imagery and corvid-inspired paintings.The book is very much a joy to own, superbly inspiring and very much epitomises corvids in art and legend as the title proclaims. Great book with amazing pictures, but awful delivery! It looked like the pages were wet, even though the package was perfectly dry. Doesn't look like a new book. This is not how to deliver products, Amazon!
