This butter dish is really stunning. I thought I was buying something that that was unbreakable, but that's not this is. It's ceramic, which means it will chip or break if not handled with care. I'm disappointed in the ease of potentially damaging it, so I'm using it for holding cream cheese instead of butter. It's just way too beautiful to not use! I would definitely buy this again, but not for keeping butter.

This butter dish is so pretty! I love that it's on the wider side so it fits those fatter blocks of butter. The design is just lovely and very well made!

I was using a tupperware to hold our countertop butter. Since this doesnt have a seal, it just rests, the cats they to go ham on it and get buttery treats...I've never had them attack butter I guess its cause they can smell it now.Its gorgeous though so i just put 2 rubber bands to hold the lid in place.

The colors are perfect and it's the perfect size for a 1/2 lb slab of butter. I love it and have already gotten several compliments on it.
