Blessedly cool
It's quieter than a regular fan; keeps an 8 x 24' Tumbleweed trailer with 3 lofts nice and cool. We run 2 fans along with the air conditioner on very hot and humid days (around 95 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity over 90 percent). The trailer is half-shaded by trees. Not sure if this unit would be enough if the place were in full sun all day, but in a half-shaded structure, it's fine. The air conditioner arrived well-packaged, but was a bit dented in a corner. We decided that relief from the heat and humidity was so important that, after checking to see if the unit worked, we opted to install instead of return. The unit sits at the correct angle in the window and works beautifully. Glad I had some thick foam sheets from another package that we used to really seal around the unit, especially in front of those accordion wings on each side. The foam that comes with the unit is inadequate for a good seal. Also, the English part of the installation and operating instructions was missing a few pages. Fortunately, the pamphlet includes the same info in Spanish, and by using both sections, we had a full set of instructions. Weird.

Good for a small room
Ive used this for 2 summers now in a bedroom far away from my primary unit. It has helped cool that side of the house off prettt well, mostly the bedroom it is in.

If you want a nightmare to deal with, then this is the A/C for you. Hate it. STAY AWAY.
I want to love this A/C. I want to love it's features. However, I hate it. Hate. It. Hate it so much. I have never had an A/C that's so...just...unbelievably bad at the ONE thing it's supposed to do. It has ONE job. It can't do that ONE job. I literally LOSE sleep because it's so unbelievably erratic (caps for emphasis, not yelling, btw). We just traded out this for our old A/C (which is from like 2008) and I'm officially on Day 6 of not sleeping. Can't return it because it's past the return-window for Prime. I'm VERY unhappy with this purchase. VERY. Don't think I've ever purchased anything on Amazon that I'm THIS unhappy about...and I've been on Amazon for almost 10 years. I think this may be the first, or one of very few, 1-star reviews I've written. I'd give it ZERO stars if I could. As a preface: I live in a house with *no* A/C, so we all rely on window A/C units. It was over 100 degrees yesterday. A *functioning* and *reliable* A/C is necessary. This is neither. My window A/C by the same company, that's 10+ years old, is WAY better than this. I'm so unbelievably disappointed and feel like I just threw a stack of 20s in the garbage (during Coronavirus nonetheless, where money is super tight already). I will NEVER buy from this company again after this experience -- which is completely different from I how felt before buying this product. So, what's my issue?1) No user manual. Tried to set a delay, which didn't work. The light for "Delay on/off" doesn't work on one of the buttons. I thought, "Oh well, just a light indicator", but it seems it is related to functionality. Can't find any user manual online -- maybe that's me being dense, but let's be real: an A/C should be SIMPLE...almost intuitive it's so simple. This A/C is none of that.2) Do you enjoy a room that varies in temperature *every* night (and day!) by 30-40 degrees?I'm not exaggerating. On any given night (or day), despite my Exact. Same. Setting. on "auto" and "cool" and "Delay off" and "68 degrees" ....I wake up SEVERAL times per night. Here's what you'll get, with last night as an example: anywhere between 51 degrees F to 89 degrees F....it changes *all night* and in *extremes*. I'm probably so upset with this rn because I haven't slept in days BECAUSE I made a terrible choice to pick this "air conditioner". I'm either so cold I get cold sweats (at 55 degrees), or so hot I start sweating too - no one's body can handle this drastic, up-and-down temperature all freaking night long. And it NEVER STOPS CHANGING. I'm up 4-7 times per night to turn it up, or down, or whatever. And I can't just turn it off because we'll melt....so I deal with getting up multiple times per night. My partner and I are going through sheets like crazy because there's NO TEMP REGULATION with this. Despite it's fancy digital interface, compared to manual settings like 10+ years ago, it makes everything WORSE.Your settings are irrelevant. It will do whatever it wants to, when it wants to.3) Forget the delay function. It doesn't work at all. In fact, if anything, it makes everything WAY worse and more erratic.4) Right before writing this, I literally unplugged it. Reset it. Plugged back it. Set it, AGAIN, for "Auto" "cold" and "68 degrees". For the first few minutes, temp went from 91 to 77. NOW it's back to 88 degrees and I haven't touched one button. A few mins late, it's now trending toward 68. And, I'm CONFIDENT, that *if* it gets to 68, it will decide it wants to keep decreasing temperature to, oh, say, 51-55 degrees, which is WAY too cold for us. And a waste of energy. As I finished writing #4, it went from 88F to 63F, then back to 75F, and now trending upwards. Since I'm writing this, I guarantee I didn't touch the settings. Ooop! We're now at 82 degrees. And literally, within 15 seconds (I swear, I am not exaggerating ANY of this), it is now at 72 degrees. Fun! Amiright? All of this with a span of under 5 minutes. So, yeah, I guess it cools quickly....when it actually works.tl;dr Do you enjoy losing A LOT of sleep? Do you enjoy a room that varies in temperature by 40F degrees throughout the day and night? Do you enjoy waking up 5-6 times per day to attempt to "fix" the A/C? Do you enjoy frustration with an appliance that should be simple to use? Do you enjoy not only losing sleep, but also losing work time because your A/C "manages" (/s) temperature like it's on drugs? Then this is the A/C for you.Oh --- btw...before I submit this comment...the A/C is now at 86 degrees from about 2 minutes ago, when I said it was 72 degrees.DON'T BUY THIS. SAVE YOUR MONEY. FIND A RELIABLE A/C instead of throwing a ton of money away for strife, loss of sleep, irritation/anger, and no apparent solutions in sight.I guess you could say I'm not entirely pleased with this purchase.

Nice little AC unit.
First off my delivery driver rocks, it’s heavy and bulky and probably a pain to deliver and he did it with no damage. Second it’s was easy to install and works fantastic, my bedroom is the hottest spot in the house and I have to keep the rest of the house freezing to get my room to a reasonable temp. I’m able to kick up the temp in the rest of the house now and run this little unit in my bedroom and it keeps it nice and cool and is saving me about 100 a month in energy costs cooling the whole house down so it paid for itself in two months. Great buy for cooling a bedroom.

Great Value!
It's exactly what I needed! It's quiet, efficient and the remote works from pretty much anywhere in the room! My upstairs bedroom is now cooler than the downstairs, where the central air actually works! I love that the filter simply slides out to clean and slips right back in. It's been a saving grace in this ridiculously hot sunmer!

Cools a 200 square foot room without a problem
This 6000 BTU air conditioner replaced an old 6000 BTU air conditioner that was no longer cooling and it is working as expected. I rate the air conditioner a 5 but my purchasing experience was a bit fraught. The first air conditioner I ordered apparently fell off of a conveyor belt; The top of the air conditioner was dented and the bottom of the air conditioner box was black and abraded and one of the plastic straps that should have been holding the box together was missing. The return to Amazon went pretty smoothly (other than the price going up $4 for the replacement) and the new air conditioner is fine.

Punches above it's BTU rating but it's very loud.
Everything about it was intuitive to install and set up. The remote control is a nice feature, the modes and fan speeds all feel useful, and this thing is cooling down a 500 sq ft apt with ease. The con is that it's much louder than I anticipated, even on low, but it doesn't seem to get picked up by my work mic or my recreational mic, so that's good. It also has a consistent noise level, so if you don't mind a little white noise whilst you're sleeping this will be fine.No damage on delivery that I can see, and the accessories (Bracket, foam, side curtains, screws, etc...) all were helpful.I wanted something reliable, efficient, and effective. I can confirm it's efficient & effective, and if the reviews are accurate, I believe it will also prove to be reliable.
