Use: My 53lb e-bike w/ 27.5 3.5" Tires.Condition: Bought 'open box'; came missing bracket. Less than 24 hours Amazon - on Sunday - delivered new one.Impressions: Crazy 'well thought out' and quality; even has slots in the top plate for derailer and brake cable protection. Robust, with OUTSTANDING open-close 'scissor' action. Chunky, cast aluminum - not weak tubing .The feet, made of some kind of gorilla plastic are several times larger as the competition's best and, they have metal tabs/ clips you have to press/ bend inward to remove. YEAH !!!Installed impression: WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE. No wobble, no lopsided, no bending, no lost feet, no nada.Firmly in place. I trust this stand. No 'tipping over' when I'm loading groceries on rack. I'd would trust this for child-seat use.Stats: Open stance is 18"; Closed, 4.5". When folded up, w/ my 27.5" wheels, it would be 110% physically impossible for me to scrape the feet cornering unless I laid it down. A 29er would work. 20" wheels, I doubt it.Not turning bike upside down makes installation a hassle.Installation: The bolt goes down a lot more than you think. Other reviewers are assuming it's too long, but they didn't take the plate off to check. Why blindly guess when you can check and see?Simply remove the two screws from plastic plate. Inside, you'll find a 17mm Ny-Loc Nut. Note that after the bolt's threads come out of the end of that nut, there's still more than 0.5" depth left it can screw down into the housing.Other's say "the bolt is too long" because it's so hard seating it. I thought the same thing, but found I still had more than an inch left!Remember: There's about 1.35" total, the bolt can seat down.As soon as thread starts to take a bite, LOOK: Is there more or less than 1.25" of threads left on that bolt? For me, the answer was "About 0.6" - with the long bolt - and it felt really, really tight.A 1/4 drive ratchet didn't get it. Go 3/8".Ignoring the complaints that it's "too long", I already knew the amount of space provided. It's perfect. They designed Ny-Loc nut's to require some 'nuts' to tighten. That's the idea; they don't come loose.Remember to route your cables properly and while neither Hydraulic brake lines, nor motor cables fit the slots, you can enlarge the passageways w/ a rattail file. Just be sure you are not pinching your lines before torqueing down.-Why this product: I tried other's (made in PRC). The widest competition only has a 9.5" stance. The bolt is always too short. No 'v' shaped spacer on the top, assures it will beak the clamp fitting. The tubing bends easily; plastic feet fall off in a couple days. If you're dainty , with a light bike and always watching for that $@#*% foot trying to get lost it might work - assuming you can live with the lopsided stance you cannot fix - and the breeze doesn't blow it over.I'm so glad I found the Ursus jumbo. Well worth double the price. Nothing else even close ...

Great stand, no complaints
I have a hybrid 700C bike with a bike seat on the back and a burley trailer. Sometimes there are kids in both. After trying 2 cheaper/skinnier center stands where the bike would still fall over when one of them is getting in or out of the trailer, I decided to stop being cheap and got this stand. It's excellent. Very sturdy. No complaints. The kickstand pops open very wide, is easy to put out and put away, and doesn't wobble.Side note: I see other reviews that mention it wiggles, the bolt is too long, it's too short for a 700C bike - note that 700C bikes can be of varying height (700c is the wheel size, but the kickstand mounts to the frame of course...), you need to measure your specific bike for clearance, which I did. Don't believe other people's reviews that are saying it doesn't work with all bikes, that doesn't make sense. That being said, do make sure you measure your bike, because this brand has other sizes that might work instead. Regarding the bolt being too long / wiggling - not something I've experienced personally and I have a pretty standard adult hybrid bike. But doesn't mean it's not true for some.

Sturdy and well made
I installed this on Specialized Rock Hopper that I converted to a (very heavy) electric bike. I've put thousands of miles on that bike, including daily commutes, shopping runs, and a few long back-roads rides. The stand is just bomb-proof, even when I have the 70+ pound bike loaded up 35 pounds of groceries and junk. One thing to note about the mounting plate is that it includes notches on either side that are large enough to accommodate the thick wiring harnesses used in mid-mount motors like the Bafang mid-drive kits. If you're running a mid-drive kit, be sure to route the wiring through the notches, and be sure to keep the wiring in place with your fingers as you tighten down the plate. If you're sloppy, you'll sever your wires. If you take the extra 20 seconds to do it right, you'll be fine.
