I read this book on a Sunday and the very next Monday, I taught the best lessons of my career to date, using the incredible ideas and strategies found in this book! I have been a fan of Etienne and have used his music to liven up my classroom for years! This is an amazing resource for teachers of any discipline. It is FULL of fun ideas you can literally use in your next class! Just swipe the QR codes and "Voilà!" You have instant downloads, resources and lesson plans for you to access immediately! My biggest take-away from this book is probably the idea of "making memories" in the classroom. Students will have lifelong, positive memories of your class if we "think outside the box" and give students lots of fun ways to demonstrate and participate in the learning process! GET THIS BOOK, and Rock Your Class everyone!

I loved the book because it had a ton of great ideas for student engagement. I like that the activities were fun but simple and did not require a lot of supplies. I think now more than ever we as teachers are competing with video games and social media and we need to make learning fun. Etienne' provides several QR codes that allow you to see video examples and well as templates for the activities. I really enjoyed this book and will be implementing some fun new ideas into my classroom. Simple and easy read but very impactful!

This book has awe-inspiring information that could be adapted to any subject matter. It’s really quite amazing! The conversational style is accessible and is enlivened with clever wordplay.“Rock Your Class” is organized with so many stupendous ideas from A to Z that it could be an online course. It would also work well as a book study for educators around the world. I don’t know how one teacher has had the energy and drive to accomplish SO MUCH in so many different ways, but steal his ideas!

Langlois is a genius! He has so many creative and fun ideas that should be in every teacher's toolbox. From A to Z, it's well-organized, full of anecdotes from his decades as a teacher and a performer. Often books on the subject of pedagogy get bogged down by being too theoretical - this book has easy, practical, time-tested ideas to make the life of a teacher easier and more fun. I hope there is a sequel!

I am so glad I ordered this book, it has a wealth of ideas to involve students in a fun way. I use music and songs every day, I do like that Etienne incorporates ideas not just for the French class, but the book can be incorporated to all classes. Best purchase in a long time!

Like one of Etienne's energy-filled rocking' concerts, this book is rockin' with ideas that are accessible and doable in your classroom! It's not just another pedagogy book dry and overbearing, but it's boom, boom, boom, and to the point. Makes it all seem possible! An enjoyable and important read!

Steven is incredible and dynamic with his teaching and it is always a pleasure to use his materials in class. This book is inspiring to any teacher who wants to use more Performance Based Learning in the classroom and helps teachers energize their teaching! Bravo Étienne!

As usual, Stephen Langlois puts it all out there in this highly practical book with many added features like QR codes to make it a truly living document. I have never been disappointed by anything I have used from Educorock and Rock your Class. This is not a heavy read - just plain common sense and targeted strategies for all those things you wonder about - 26 of them!

I’ve taught multiple subjects K – 12 and I can clearly see the path forward towards boosting classroom engagement after having read this book. Chock-full of practical ideas, strategies and sage advice, Étienne continues to teach us all in a very engaging way, proving that it is possible! This book blends personal narratives with empirical strategies that he has developed through his career as teacher Rockstar. His stories make this book feel like a conversation, and his methods make this book a go-to resource for anyone interested in improving the way they deliver education. Delivery certainly impacts the way students receive and experience it, so it`s a great place to start!. Thank you Étienne for being so generous! This book could easily take you a career to learn through trial and error, or you could just pick up a copy of Rock Your Class and know now what you wish you knew back then. It really is that simple. Imagine feeling excited about teaching instead of feeling stressed. That’s the gift Étienne has just given us with Rock Your Class. It is the gift that keeps giving, from September to June. We can finally focus on teaching instead of blaming the full moon!

Warning: I am already a HUGE fan of Étienne - so my feedback is going to be 100% biased! : )Captivating & Contemporary are the 2 adjectives I would use to describe my feelings towards this book! : )Considering the fact that I am a new teacher (second career though) who graduated from Niagara University after 2 years of teacher's training - full time - I personally / strongly feel that this book needs to be one of the "prescribed texts" in all teachers' colleges/universities - not just in Canada - but internationally.(Trust me, some of the mandatory books I had to read during those 2 years were boring as hell and sometimes made no sense/so outdated)After all, teaching is a "Global Craft" and we all need to be "Rockstar Teachers" no matter where we teach!My 2 cents!Shyama - Teacher, PDSB

This is a great book! Creative, easy to read, and fun. The book includes a lot of tips and strategies very useful that we can apply in the classroom, so we can engage our students and improve our work in education. The author shared his experiences and knowledge and added a lot of funny anecdotes and puns. This is definitely a must-read!
