Amazing boots for the money!
These boots are amazing. Finally bought a pair after burning through a pair of lesser boots once a year if not more. Word of advice though, don't lace the bottom portion up super tight until they break in. In regards to breaking them in, it takes awhile. Had them almost a month now and they are finally getting comfortable. Don't forget Danner's special boot dressing for them. Will order again, but with the ability to recraft them, that probably won't be for a long time!Update!Been wearing these boots for about 10 hours a day, 5 days a week now for awhile and they are holding up great! It is such a good feeling to be able to tromp through any puddle or muddy terrain and have your feet remain dry. I usually hose them off at work to keep them looking decent and my feet never get wet. I bought the Danner boot dressing and apply it twice a month and it seems to be helping. The way the tread is wearing, I'll probably have to send them off in about a year or so to get re-soled, but that's fine. I will NEVER wear another brand of boots again as long as Danner continues to make a quality, USA made product like these boots.UPDATE!Had these since 2014. Sent them to Danner for recrafting in 2018 and just look at those pictures. Unfortunately, the soles now are worn down and the leather is split in a few places so recrafting them a second time is out of the question. I just ordered a new pair and now that I'm a bit less active at work, I expect them to last about 5-6 years before I recraft them, then another 5-6 years before I replace them.If you're buying these, make sure you get the Danner boot dressing that Amazon sells and use it every other week or so in order to keep the leather supple and pliable. I didn't do that as often as I should. Still, my original pair is now a pair to have as a backup at work.Buy once, cry once... though I wish they were $230 now like they were back in 2014 when I bought my first pair.

Excellent boots, extremely sturdy ankle support
Bought these boots over a year ago that I alternate daily use with a pair of Bates. Excellent boots, extremely sturdy ankle support. These boots are not quite as comfortable and I have had more frequent issues with plantar fasciitis pain with this boot with or without the included insert than with other boots, but a custom made orthotic (or daily stretching if you KNOW you have this problem) should remedy this for anyone. After over a year of continuous use, the Vibram soles show extremely little signs of any wear, only a very slight rounding at the heel is the only indication that they have seen any use at all.Though the boots are quite heavy and so sturdy, the soles make them surprisingly quiet. It is very easy to walk nearly silently on any debris-free surface. The Gortex works absolute wonders. I took these boots out to the California coast and spent several hours with my feet submerged with absolutely no water leakage. Obviously you want to make sure the leather properly dries out after getting soaked though. The leather polishes up to a great shine. The hinge point of your toes is a little tricky to keep polished compared to your standard Air Force low quarters, but overall they shine great. The sizing is a little on the large side, my 11.5 US size with thick Thorlo combat socks still has enough gap to cause my heels to get blistered over several miles of walking so I would encourage potential buyers to try them on first before buying. Silk liners may be all you need to insert if you run into this problem though.Overall fantastic pair of boots, I will definitely buy another pair if these ever fail in my lifetime.

Great Boots
I've had these boots for about 2.5 years now so I think I can write a fairly unbiased review based on my time with them. First off they do take a good deal of wearing to break in. That said, after the break in period these will be some of the most comfortable footwear you will likely ever own. The Gore-Tex lining is wonderful and I can walk right through puddles and the like where the water comes up to just shy of the boot opening and my feet will stay dry. The leather outer takes shoe polish well and my pair still looks as good as when I bought them. The laces extend from the toes to the shins and once you find the right lace tension for you you'll love the amount of support these give you. They come with Danner brand "airthotics" which are plastic inserts that sit under your heels and give you arch support. There is no built in arch support in these boots, instead they leave the footbed empty so you can insert the insoles of your choice. The airthotics work fine but if you want even better support and comfort try the Danner brand insoles. The only drawback I've had while wearing these is that the outsoles squeak on certain types of flooring. Marble floors, certain types of tiles, etc. It can get annoying but it's nothing gamebreaking. Also Danner is able to resole these boots when they inevitable wear down meaning that you can get boots that wear like your broken in ones but that have a brand new, grippy outsole. They run a bit narrow so if you even have slightly wide feet buy the wide size. Highly recommended.

Very nice boots but order a half size smaller than usual
I have several other pairs of Danner boots and the Acadia's are a half size bigger than any other Danner boot that I have. I take an 11EE and with these I had to go to a 10.5EE and they fit perfectly. Boots broke in really nicely over a cpl days. One of the most comfortable duty boots I've owned and I've tried almost every brand. These boots are quality made and I can easily see them out lasting any other pair of boots by yrs. With Under Armor boots I was lucky to wear them a yr before they were done. My last pair of Danner Acadia's lasted 12 yrs. Yes, they are expensive but they are cheaper in the long run.

Exelentes.

Top quality, but fit may run large in lengnth
Okay, greatest feeling boots ever! Had a great price, great seller BUT they were just a bit large as compared to reg boot size. I normally wear 9.5ee and while these may have worked with a heavy sock, they are a summer boot, so that was the ONLY deal breaker. How i wish they would have fit!

Narrow but build to last!
Gorgeous boot. But very narrow build. Keep this in mind when ordering.
