Crock-Pot SCCPVL600-B Cook 'N Carry Oval Manual Slow Cooker, 6-Quart, Black

I bought this appliance on amazon uk site as I live on the Isle Of Man, it has arrived with an American 2pin plug on. How on earth am I supposed to to use it over here.

El equipo comprado desde España a Amazon España, ha resultado proceder de USA, con enchufe USA y solamente conectable a la red de 120 voltios, imposible de usar en España.No puedo opinar sobre el funcionamiento de esta olla de cocción rápida.Solo opino de la puesta a la venta por el vendedor de forma "equivocada".Además de eso hubo que pagar gastos de importación, algo impensable, ya que en el momento de la compra solo estaba marcado el precio del producto.

I like this crock pot although I would have preferred to have the option to set a timer on it. I kept in on warm overnight because I use it as a "Cholent Pot" for the sabbath. It was fine but I should have added more water to it before sunset because the result was a bit pasty. However, I would learn from this that if you leave it on warm add more water than you think necessary.

I bought this to replace my very old crockpot of many years that finally gave up the ghost. I prefer the manual controls because they work no matter what. On my old crockpot, the dial eventually broke but I could still use it with a pair of pliers. But when it started boiling on the low setting and the handle on the lid disintegrated completely, it was time to go. My primary complaint is the lid gasket. It does require a little bit of fiddling with the lid in order to get it to seat properly, a problem I did not have with my old one.All in all, a good appliance. I never considered anything else.

This would be my second crock pot like this. The other got lost or forgotten during a move. Having said that, I loved the first one so much - I bought another. I love that the controls are simple knob style, unlike the newer digital ones. Maybe I'm old fashioned but, if you're looking for a nice simple crock pot with a locking lid - this is the one to get.
