Unrefined Smoked Turkey with Ancient Grains & Superfoods Dry Dog & Puppy Food

My dogs really like this dog food and I like feeding it to them but I'm not going to pay the price the sellers are now wanting. I started getting it a Tractor Supply again where the price hasn't nearly doubled. It's still 42 bucks for a 12.5 lb bag. One seller isn't quite as high but he/she wants 20 for shipping..same difference 🙄 Everyone is getting so greedy.

We have a 14 year old 70 lbs Boxador and a 7 year old 50 lbs AussieLab that have been on this food for 4 weeks now. The 7 year old has so many allergies and has been on Zesty Paws Aller-Immune bites and 2 different calming supplements ($80/month) for years. She is miraculously no longer in need of ANY supplements. She also goes to her bowl and cries for this food which has never happened! Hallelujah! The 14 year old has been on Dasuquin and Aller-Immune bites for seniors as well as Glandex for a while now ($100/month). She now only needs the Dasuquin. If this continues, we will be saving $130/month total. Our vet told us to look for certain ingredients to help our AussieLab’s horrible ear problems due to meat allergies, crying everyday and constantly digging in her ears. She’s been so miserable. We feel like we’ve won the lottery with this food because our dogs are so happy and healthy now. Please keep the ingredients consistent because we’ve had problems with previous food due to ingredients consistency. Thank you for creating such a good quality product, you’ve obviously done your research!

I decided to try this food because I am transitioning my dogs from grain free due to growing data that suggests canine heart disease is associated with GF diets. I selected Earthborn by recommendation and decided to try the Unrefined kibble.PROS:- My dogs love the taste and gobble it up.-The kibble pieces are small and not overly hard, which is good for one of my dogs who is a senior.-The food actually smells good and keeps well in a sealed container.-So far one of my dogs is doing well on this food as part of her diet, she is a Shar Pei and as yet has not had an increase in yeast, weight gain or a bout with ear infections (reasons why I had her on GF). And my picky eater Scottie-Chihuahua is doing well on the food too.CONS:-I am fostering a young Idaho Shag (basically a cattle dog mix of border collie and terrier breeds). He is not doing well on this food. It causes him to have aplomb gas. I tested him on and off this food. On the food he is a fart machine, off of it he is back to normal. He also got very itchy on the food. I suspect the gas is because he gobbles the kibble fast and it essentially ferments in his intestines and causes the gas (I looked up causes for gassy dogs and this one fits). He may be allergic to some of the ingredients too.-And...of course I imagine everyone will balk at the price. But if the quality stays in check, a higher price should be expected. You get what you pay for - also I found the Amazon pricing better than brick-and-mortar retail pricing.

Ever since my dog has been eating this (she is 12 years old), her loose booty hairs have gone away (no longer many loose hairs). I can't really notice anything else specific. She's at that stage where she really doesn't like dry food much..I just mix a little rice or Oatmeal. All in all, I feel it's a great dog food. I bought it originally because I heard turkey is the best for dogs. Chicken is actually an allergen (just what I heard)

I'm not sure about the people reporting a bad smell from the turkey flavor - I suspect they may have gotten a bad bag because I've never noticed an odor with the bags I've gotten. Regardless - my dog loves this food and this flavor! I've had to use a slow feeder with him because he was eating it so fast. Is it pricey? Yes, but the quality is worth it and frankly I'd rather not cut corners when it comes to my dog's health. Excellent product!

Our husky mix had severe allergies that included a lot of itching and licking which led to bald pits, sides and constant ear (yeast) infections. We initially assumed that she was allergic to grains but that wasn't the case when we switched her back from hypoallergenic foods to Taste of the Wild and she flared up again.The next most likely allergy was that she was sensitive to starches and certain meats so we had to find a food that was appropriate for her. The Unrefined line from Earthborn Holistic fit the bill and it has done wonders for her. We switch her between the Turkey and Salmon because she seems sensitive to Chicken, Beef and Lamb. She's been on this food for almost a year now and has had no flare ups and all of her fur has grown back in. Highly recommend.

The dogs like it, good ingredients- their gastrointestinal problems have nearly vanished. We switched from Purina to Wellness now to Earthborn. I like that it has no chicken and no pea fillers
