Beautiful brush, but holder doesn't work
Initially i was in love, i mean LOVE with this brush. It was perfect, well balanced, held a beautiful point and lots of watercolor. However...my feelings changed when i tried to pack it up to fly home. There is a waxy substance that has filled the tube the brush is supposed to fit into. I tried pushing it back into the tube, tried melting it...nothing worked. The return time is up so i guess i have a brush that won't travel. BEWARE.

Escando Prado watercolor brush
I really like this brush. It has good bounce and retains its shape while painting.

Great Travel Brush And A Good Size If You Can Only Have One
This is a great brush! It allows me to paint on the go with a brush with the hair protected by a cap that doubles as a handle. The bristles allow smooth, clean strokes and lines that I can vary in width by how my pressure I use on the brush. I think a size 6 is a good choice if I can only have one brush with me so it's the one I keep in my tote bag with a travel set of pan watercolors and a small pad of watercolor or multi-media paper for those impromptu art moments while out and about.A lot of travel pan watercolor sets have brushes that are so small, which is good when painting small areas, and better than no brush at all, but they're limited in how much I can do with them. The size 6 is a perfect brush to accompany them or to use alone if you don't have a small brush that came in your set.I'm very happy with this brush and the high quality of it. I definitely want to buy a few more sizes to take along with me too.

Happy Artist
I rarely order brushes via Amazon (yes, they did indeed ship like that...) but I banked on them shipping in their closed/travel position and they came just fine. They sent good points but Escoda does well anyways so I wasn't too concerned. The brushes themselves have big handles, at first I thought I recieved the wrong size. The large diameter help protect the brush heads from catching a hair upon capping. I was pleasantly surprised to find each cap had a hole to release accidental trapped moisture. The brush handles feel slightly unbalanced so it will take me some adjustment. Overall, brushes are a 4.5/5 and the shipping was expected, so just be mindful.

My favorite brushes!
The Escoda series is my absolute favorite. The brushes wear well and hold a lot of pigment.

Great quality brushes, hold pigment well and breakdown nicely to fit in the handle for travel.
I paint as I travel around the world and these travel Escoda brushes are excellent. The bristles last a good long time and they hold a nice amount of pigment. The way the brush comes apart and fits into the handle is very snug and makes it excellent for travel and for carrying out in the field. This number 6 brush is a good all around size. I also carry several other sizes out in the field, but this is the one I end up painting with the most, and so I carry two of them, in case, for some reason one of them gets lost or damaged.

Love at first use!
As a watercolor newbie, I've been experimenting with many round brushes from various brands like Princeton and Silver Black Velvet. This Escoda round brush in size 8 is probably the best one I've bought so far. The bristles are so soft and yet comes to a very fine point for detail work. It holds a lot of water despite its size. It's one of the smaller size 8 brushes I have. I have some Rosemary and Co brushes on the way so we'll see how this competes with those, but I think I'm in love with this Escoda brush. May buy more as they're also reasonably priced for the quality!

Plenty happy with it.
I took up watercolor painting a few months back and quickly found the need to upgrade from the starter set of brushes I'd purchased. I tried a few varieties off the shelves that were ok, but they really didn't seem to do the trick. So I researched for a while and decided to try blends, pure synthetics and Kolinsky sables. I wasn't about to spend $300+ on a size 12 series 7 Kolinsky, so I settled for a 6 and and 8 in that make, and grabbed this one at size 12. Not disappointed. A fraction of the price, beautifully crafted and holds water well, although less than the Kolinsky sable hair - but the action is similar. An easy recommend for someone like me who can't justify the $$ for the high end natural hair brushes in the larger sizes but still wants the higher end benefits.
