Worked to add GPS to a marine VHF
I didnโt want to have to wire all the way to my second helm station, so I used this to add GPS for the DSC function on a marine VHF radio. It worked great. I do have to kill the radio breaker when I want to shut it off, but thatโs fine. The radio comes on with the breaker too and I no longer use the knob to turn it in and off. It works.

Used to mod a Tyt MD9600 radio: works perfect!
I was disappointed that the Tyt MD9600 ham radio I bought didn't include GPS, so I bought this to mod it. It worked perfectly, requiring that I only solder the wire for power, ground, and TXD (the radio never sends data to the GPS, so the RXD wire is not necessary. This thing is better than I dared hope. It locks on 7 sattelites in less than a minute from within my garage and inside our SUV. I call that a win!

Precise
I mounted this inside of my autonomous airplane, hoping for maximum water resistance and to my astonishment it still was very prescient inside faced down as I did not know which way to point it. Five stars.

Great little GPS RECEIVER.
This is the device that I used to build the GPS for my Icom IC-7100 radio.

3 out of 5 are bad
I have bought 5 of the BN-220 GPS modules over the past 3 years. Some to replace failed modules and some for new projects. Of the 5 I bought, only 2 worked when I received them. I have tried programing the settings of the 3 bad one's, but that made no difference. I have decided to spend a little more money and get better GPS modules like the Matek M10Q-5883.

Gps with Good Wires and Connectors.
The wire are stout with the connector s. The GPS acquires lock within a few minutes. Good lock is a flashing Red light. I flew tactical just, flashing Red light should be changed to Blue, Green almost anything but Red...

Works perfectly.
These things are made for drones, but I connected mine to an NXP development kit that runs Yocto. Worked perfectly. The one thing you need to know is the antenna (the ceramic side) must point up. Otherwise it'll never connect.

Great reception gps.
Fast shipping. I have only installed and set up so far. I had a total of 12 satellite's by a south window during set up in beta flight. Haven't flown it yet due to snowy weather.

Slow fix
It's a good gps after fix, but the fix time is way too long, even a power cycle will cost it more than 20 min to get a fix in clear sky view
