The Quest (Special Edition) aka Frog Dreaming

I'm delighted they finally put this classic adventure/mystery movie on Blu-ray, and it looks great. I won't go into the movie plot details because most have already seen the movie, and probably many times like I have through the years.This Blu-ray edition of The Quest has some really interesting bonus videos explaining how the movie scenes were made. For instance, after watching the movie, you can watch it over with the director commentary on explaining how it was filmed.And interesting to see what the starring kid actor Henry Thomas looks like a few years back with a full moustache and beard, and talked about the movie. Usually he is clean shaven which looks much better. There's another video of what the two girls look like later too as adults, as they talked about being on the set location and first meeting the star of the world wide hit movie ET.The Quest is an excellent movie and always fun to watch again. Henry Thomas made some great movies back in the 1980s. He always played a boy with only one male or female parent, or having an Aussie male guardian as in this movie, instead of having both the traditional father and mother around as he did in real life growing up in San Antonio Texas, who now lives in Oregon. The Aussie movie locations and folklore added to the movie, along with the nice music score.

Great movie!

I loved this movie as a kid! It’s a total cult classic that flew under the radar here in the states. Totally worth your time if you like 80’s kids movies. Fun, spooky and Elliot from E.T. is the main character!
