Sugar and Spice and Everything Mice (Volume 2) (Mice Skating)

It’s a cute book, but it’s not as good as the first one. My 3.5yr old could not get over the fact that they looked different and declared that they are different mice and made up new names for them. The fact that it’s drawn by a different illustrator does break the cohesiveness of the characters. We loved the first book, but the second is not nearly as good. If it was just a book by itself, I would still buy it for my kid because it’s a cute book, but it’s supposed to be the same characters as the first and that fact makes it much harder to digest for my child.

I’ve been a fan of Christee’s work for a while now, and was so excited to be able to have an entire book of her gorgeous, charming art!!! I couldn’t help but giggle as I read the story (the cheese puns were 😂😂😂) and loved the message about it being ok to ask for help from the people around you when you’re in a struggle. This book won’t disappoint!!

A really sweet book that both my boys, ages 6 and 9, loved. Warm and inviting illustrations bring all those happy autumn vibes. The cheese puns had us giggling and I loved the messages of friendship cooperation, and teamwork.

Such a sweet book!! Beautiful illustrations!! Caution: it may make you hungry...

Such a delight! Lucy's great at helping her friends to learn how to skate, but it takes a while for her to realize she might need the same kind of help learning how to bake. A very sweet story with gorgeous illustrations.
