Don't judge a book by the cover! This is a awesome book. I bought it to give to someone else as a gift because I have already read it. My boss gave it to me to read and I let it sit on my shelf for a long time because it just looked boring. And it looked like your typical self help book - but this is not that at all.The Prescription for Success starts off by telling the life story of Ewing Marion Kauffman, which is quite interesting. By doing this the book explains how he started from pretty much the bottom and worked hard. He worked his way to the top and he used his own struggles to succeed. Also by telling his story, the book explains how and why he started his own business, the struggles he faced as a business owner, and how he over came them.The book is also really easy to read and to keep reading.I think this is a must read for anyone who is thinking of starting a company.

I became interested in the book due to personal reasons. I can say that Ewing's life really turned when his second wife Muriel McBrien Kauffman walked into his life. Muriel had charisma, style, intelligence, grace and a zeal for life that Ewing fell head over heels with. The book depicts the starting of Ewing's business and where he fostered his savvy business sense, it's no doubt he ensured that Muriel would play a prominent role in his life.This book is a great read, it depicts a true side of a very sensitive and intelligent hard working man with a plan and a vision to succeed. Ewing's heart showed all the signs of a caring and courageous man that would stand up and believe in a systematic approach to the way he thought things should be. The core values that Ewing exudes in this book is instrumental in life and it's my opinion that anyone reading this book will concur.Thank you,Jarrott Hutchinson

Mr Kauffman was an an exceptional, outstanding man and he is portrayed as such in Prescription for Success. As a former Marion Labs associate, I can attest that Marion Labs was an Uncommon Company...simply the best!! Mr Kauffman's entrepreneurial spirit and his concern for his associates are evident through the entire book. I would recommend this book to anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit. I was definitely in my happy place when reading and reminiscing about the man who shaped my professional career in sales.
