The golden thread continues...
I went straight from discovering and devouring book one to buying and practically inhaling this book. The story and characters move along at a good pace. The relationship between Benella and the beast grows. And twists and turns take you on a surprising rediscovery of the original fairy tale. Everything you could want really. Some of the explanations for the beasts behaviour leave a little to be desired. I actually thing Haag was on the right track - we're talking the id and the pleasure principle here. How a complete lack of ability to self-deny leads to a selfish disregard for others. How ever I did wince at the term 'pent up energies' which seemed very woolly. That aside this was even better than book one. My big criticism is that I have to wait two weeks to read book three which I wanted immediately. Seriously it was a pang - and I was pretty p***ed off when I got to the end and found book three was on pre-order not actually available - to tear myself away and have to wait! Pleasure principle again - in object lesson. If book three delivers a satisfying conclusion I'll be recommending this to all fairy tale retelling lovers.

What a beautiful story!
It was absolutely addictive for me. I couldn't put it down until I read all three books in this series.Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite fairy tales of all times so I am always looking for retellings. And I very much loved this one. It was amazing! The characters were great and very well developed. The story didn't rush - it was taking its time, but I didn't find it annoying. I found it more enjoyable that way actually. And I so much loved the Beast! And later Alec, of course. How he was trying to win Benella over once again as a man - aww! Sometimes I was melting for him...And Benella, well, she was getting on my nerves in the Part 3, but considered that she was supposed to be only 16, I understood some of her behavior. Besides that, she was very good female leading character. I found her courageous, intelligent and adorable and innocent at the same time.It has some adult content, definitely not for kids, but I would say anyone up to 16-17 can easily read it.Absolutely recommend this series, if you love retelling stories of Beauty and the Beast or fairy-tales in general.

A bit repetitive
I love a good beauty and the beast re-telling. It's my favourite kind of romance tale. Over all I did enjoy these books, I read all three in about two days. The only thing I can say is that I found the plot very repetitive. All the main character really does is eat. I would have liked a little more action with the beast. He is a bit wooden and there is something lacking that means this trilogy was not the absolute best, but it was ok. It was readable, it was enjoyable in parts. Having said that, I would say it was worth the money and for that price, worth the read.

AWESOME
I have purchased this book so all the thoughts are 100% mine and I was not asked for the review.WOW! I thought the first part was amazing, but this...THIS part is freaking awesome! The book picks up straight after Benella agreed to take her father's place in the Beast's mansion. At the beginning she feels like a real prisoner. Only counting days to visit her family helps her escape her sad fate and also helps her go through beast's tantrums. She wanted to help him break the spell as it meant that she will be free. What she didn't expect was the growing feelings he started to have towards beast. She didn't expect that he actually is a nice and kind person. And she was totally not expecting to have sexual desires just like her sister had. This part is full of surprises, twists, feelings... total roller coaster! The book is amazing, but the cliffhanger? OMG! I so want the next book NOW!5 awesome stars!!

His success is her failure
WARNING: Even more so than the Part 1, this is definitely only for a mature reader, due to the emotional and physical content.Poor Benella, she had gained and learned so much just to loose it all. The discoveries made in this part of the story were presented with sensitivity and the relationship between her and the beast made me smile on several occasions. However, the threat, headache and pain in the last chapter made me reach for tissues and I do not know if I am emotionally ready to ride the. Roller coaster of emotions awaiting in the concluding part of this tale. I want to wish for a HEA but honestly do not know whether it is possible for them.

Loved it!
Wow just brilliant. You definitely need to read the first one before reading this one (and I highly recommend this series) or you won't have enough background to understand what is going on. I was totally drawn in and I love the characters and learning more about the beast. We learned a lot more about what has happened in the past and who the beast was then and is now. We also learn a bit more about Benella and the reaction of other people to her. I don't want to say too much and spoil it! I loved how the relationships developed in the book. There is a cliff hanger ending! I was gutted to learn I have to wait nearly a month for the next one - I need it now! Cannot wait for the final instalment, loved it.

Beastly Tales Part 2 = AWESOME!
Benella begins this story in her new home wit the beast. She is completely unsure as to why she is there the beast not being very forthcoming with explanations. Given time and a few misunderstandings the beast wins her around and her heart as she does him. She teaches him the value of being a human with feelings and virtue although he teaches her that not everything is black and white. The ending is harsh and heartbreaking for Benella as she nearly losses everything. She walks away with only her Maidenhead intact and nothing else. This is a wonderful follow up to part 1 and I look forward to part 3. I don't want this series to end but it is for the over 17s so be warned before picking it up and also be warned that it is a wonderful series so it is addictive.
