Jagwire X4 Cable Tip (Non Crimp)

Not much to say. These are colorful cable crimps. I use them when performing bicycle repairs on my brake cables and shifter cables so the ends of the cut wires don't fray or end up scratching me. They can be tricky to get onto a wire, but once crimped, they stay put. I fix my kid's, husband's and my own bicycle with them (my daughter likes the pink ones). I have a lot of them left, since you usually only need a couple at a time, but they sometimes do get pulled off, so now I have a lifetime supply of them. Overall a good product that you can get at a bike shop for pennies or for free, but I am my own bike shop so these are nice to have on hand.

These tips work, but I had expected them to slide on and off the cables so seamlessly that the individual threads of the cables would still be perfect. Unfortunately, the rubber piece at the end is just a little too tight for that, so after you take the tip of, the end of the cable tends to be ruined for further use.

This review is for the JAG slip-on cable ferrules, not the crimp type:This little "crimp" slid right over my shift cable even though there were two stray strands I had to hold tight to get it to slip over. i don't think it will work for nasty, frayed cables. Enough friction on the rubber part to keep it on tightly, though it will pull back off with moderate force. Works well, highly recommended.PS: to get them to slip easily over the end of the cable, make sure the cable is cut clean and even, then approach the cable with the slip-on at a 45 degree angle and twist in the same direction as the cable twist while installing.

Okay, cable end-crimps aren't the most exciting thing and typically come in two categories, cheap or a polished product that probably won't draw blood on your next ride. These have exceeded my expectations with the smooth end, even finish, and well-tapered flange.On the colored variety, the anodization is very deep and even throughout the product. This doesn't flake off and takes abuse. I've picked up a few other colors too in smaller quantities for working on my friends' bikes. Be sure to buy from a reputable seller like this one.

These not only do the job for which they are intended, they look nice while doing it. Plus, I like the fact that they can be removed without having to be cut off the cable, and can then be put back in place without damage. Sure, it's a small detail, but still one that adds to the overall look of a bike.

These are slicker than sliced bread! They easily go over your cables and stay put and are easily removed to remove the cable if your wrenching without damged ends. Simplistic and cheap. A must have for most anyone.

what's not to like. Good colors. Just wish I could find the smaller versions too.

Great product, unique and professional

ワイヤーの先端はハンダで固めてあったけど、ロングのスパッツなどを履くとワイヤーの先端に引っ掛けて穴が開きそうなので、これを被せることにした。いくら安いパーツでも大量にはいらないので３色が適量入っていて便利。色もきれいだし質感もよいです。

各30個なので、たくさんです。インナーは、ばらけると指をケガしたりするので処理しておきたいですし、あまり目立たないところですけど、カラーのをつけてます。

カラーアルマイトですかね。色がきれいなのでちょっとした遊び心にいいかな。性能を語る様なものでも無いのですが、普通に使えるアルミキャップです。

車体の色に合わせて購入しました。さりげないおしゃれに丁度良いです。
