Berlioz: La Damnation de Faust

Thinking back over half a century when I was at school money was short and full price DG sets in their lovely linen covers were a rare treat. I remember four I had to have. I still have the recordings on CD. Winterreise with DFD and Demus, Schoene Muellerin with Wunderlich and Giesen, Wozzeck conducted by Bohm including both the aforementioned singers and the Markevitch Faust.I long ago lost count of the times I have listened to each of them but returning is always a joy.Not all the singers in this Faust are well known but they are all superb. I love the music of Berlioz and have many recordings but this one is really special. Has has Mephisto!!!!!!!
