Very cooling, be prepared to get a bit wet though
I've had this for a few years now, and it's held up to summer use. It hasn't been an issue for me, but it is relevant to note that the ice melt that is cooling you off, is also making your shirt collar damp/ wet. Still super effective for me and not a deal breaker at all, but it may be relevant to someone else.Easy to use- just pop an ice cube into each of the internal pockets and fold the top over, then wrap around your neck. Easy enough to find replacement ice cubes when you are out and about (versus needing new pre-chilled gel packs or some such).

It works, but will make wet
I like the product. It cools best with real ice, but as the ice melts it will soak through your shirt and eventually, your shorts. I had the one in the photo on for less than two hours mowing on a rider in the sun at 85F. Better a wet shirt than heat stroke! But you will need a change of clothes, or at least a fresh shirt after continously changing out the ice as it melts. I have tried the not real ice stuff too that doesn't get you wet and its not nearly as effective for cooling you down and in my experience, did not last as long as real ice either. If you are looking at these check out flexifreeze vests. Bigger price tag but also great cooling capability.

Remain chilly
I work in a restaurant that of course gets hot in the warm weather. I decided I wanted to buy a personal cooling product, and went on Amazon and found this. After I got it I showed it to a couple of the guys I work with and they immediately asked me to order one for them . I believe the key to a happy life is to remain chilly, and this does the trick. Very cool product....pun intended.

Helpful for those with heat intolerance
This product is small and fits easily into my purse without much additional weight/bulk. It has a small pouch that you can fill with ice cubes (or ice from whatever vending/soda machine) to make hot days outside easier for those with heat intolerance problems. Ice did melt, so plastic ziploc needed. I do wish it came with an option to purchase a reusable ice cube with it.

I play tennis in a dry hot climate, this keeps me a bit cooler when the sun is beating down
I play tennis in a dry hot climate, this keeps me a bit cooler when the sun is beating down. Love it, it's my summer tennis necessity. As the ice melts, it drips down onto my skin, also helping to keep me cool. I can refill it for hours of use, by having my iced water with me, and just refilling the compartments at breaks when needed. Other items I used required me to freeze, and would defrost within 30minutes, then absorb my body temperature, those styles I don't like since the coolness can't be re-started. This one I can.

Not what I expected
If you put ice in the neck cooler, you will end up soaked from the melting ice. I cannot locate ice packs small enough to fit. Unfortunately this didn't work for me. I'm having to make adjustments but still not sure it'll work.

Ice Ice Baby!
Here in Arizona, it gets pretty hot. I was faced with having to do several outdoor projects this summer, and this thing came to my rescue. It's pretty simple. You load up the little pockets with ice, put it on your neck, and you feel a lot cooler. I have used the other type that has the little strips that you soak and freeze, but they never seemed to work well. Plus you have to refreeze the strips, whereas with these, you just need some more ice. These are not waterproof, and they leak as soon as the ice melts. But working out in the heat, I never felt that was a bad thing. I also put a small ice bag under my straw hat, but that is another review. The two together have kept me alive. One issue: it stays on with Velcro straps, but it was not quite long enough to stay fastened for me. But my wife had some black Velcro strips, and I added a couple of inches, and now it works great.More than comfort, it has been a life saver.

Ice melts quickly
Clothes get wet as ice melts. Not a deal breaker, but will try freezing small ziploc bags and using them instead. The condensation from that shouldn't be near as bad as the melting ice. That amount of moisture should evaporate quickly.

Overpriced...
when u add ice, it drippy down quite a bit. Also is difficult to fit ice cubes in the pouches. Have double up on the fabric sue to the ice being too cold on the neck.
